When Tsipouro was born in our Oceans' litter, even though we would have loved to have kept him, we originally planned to keep his sister, Southern, instead because Tsipouro's sire is owned by another breeder and prior to the mating, we had agreed no "active" boys, a fair agreement that we had no problems with at all.

Anyway, there was something about Arctic that I just really liked, not just his personality, but the potential I could see in years to come and so I sent an email off to Rose, the stud owner, fully expecting a "No" to inquire as to whether or not we could have their permission to keep him back as a future stud boy. Some telephone calls and emails later, Rose agreed and I can not tell you just how grateful we are to Rose for her kindness and generosity.

Tsipouro quite literally takes my breath away when I look at him. He is the spitting image of his father, and his grand father. I can just sit and watch him for hours on end because he is one of the most beautiful boys, with such a striking pattern, that I have ever had the pleasure to breed. He reminds me so very much of Ashanti at times and I've yet to have someone meet him that doesn't look at him and say "Wow".

Having Tsipouro here as a future stud boy, as well as having Azure, will make a huge difference to our breeding program in that Tsipouro's sire is totally unrelated to every cat in our home which means we have a new, and excellent bloodline to merge with the Schimmel line. It's a future line that we have very high expectations of, not only with pattern, but also with type. The temperament goes without saying because Tsipouro's sire and dam have wonderful personalities and they are super cuddly and loving cats. Of course this was very evident with all the babies in our Oceans' litter.

I have to say that Tsipouro is a total darling, a real cuddle baby who adores people and adores other felines. He is an extremely vocal boy who loves to chat and he loves to play with my hair and give me cuddles and kisses. Tsipouro has a beautiful long body, inherited from his daddy, and is such a delight to have in our home. Nothing phases him, with the exception of the steam cleaner and he always runs a mile once I switch that on, he's just a very laid back boy. In typical male fashion he does love to play rough and tumble games with Azure and with Ly Shan and it's not unusual to see the 3 of them tearing throughout the home chasing each other.

We are hoping, that unlike his grandfather, QGC Schimmel Stripe It Lucky, Tsipouro will not begin his stud duties at a young age, we just want to enjoy his kitten hood and watch him have fun and play. When the time comes for Tsipouro to start "working", then he and our 2nd boy will be wear stud pants during the day where they can just be with the rest of our cat family, and then they will go in their own stud accommodation of an evening.

Tsipouro is at Closed stud, for the use of Schimmel, Chrestomanci, and Lorimnailie. We will not accept any outside queens in to Tsipouro.
