SCHIMMEL TRUE BLUE, (Galliano)

Galliano is a wonderful boy with a fantastic temperament. We are extremely pleased with his colouring and his attitude towards life. There really is something special about Blue Points in my personal opinion and we just love them.

Galliano is incredibly cuddly, very playful and at times, rather mischievous. He did not live outside in the stud house until he reached approximately 9 weeks of age. But even then, he still had not ever sired a litter. The reason for this is that we had never put our own girls to him as quite a few of our girls are already related to him. He did eventually sire a litter for us with Drambuie, and the babies he and Buie produced, were stunning, one of whom is now with our very good mates, Maroochydore Siamese & Orientals. Another stunning girl that he sired, shares her home with us, and that is Nocello.

After he sired that litter, we decided that as we were so happy with the babies, we would repeat that mating at a later date, and as it stands at the moment, there is a possibility Drambuie is pregnant. This was the last litter Galliano will sire. At Schimmel, we are a closed household, our boys are not available for public use and Galli is no exception.

In April 2007, we will be neutering Galliano, and he will be coming back inside to live his life out as a furry family member. We neuter our outside boys before they turn 3 years of age as stud cats have an extremely lonely life, and they do not choose this life, we choose it for them. To allow them to "work outside" any longer than 3 years of age, in my own personal opinion is barbaric!

Ashanti will be taking over Galliano's stud duties, in fact, he started at a very early age. It's only a few months now until Galli is neutered and we can enjoy his company once more in our home, as part of the family, where he belongs. Roulette and Nocello will carry on his good name, and we also have his sister, Tia Lusso, one of our breeding queens, so neutering Galliano means we have lost nothing, but instead, we have gained a wonderful new boy in our home.
