We are delighted that Sage gained a new title at this show, particularly as we took him along solely because we love showing him and we were not expecting any results at all. In actual fact, we didn't realise until April that Sage had even gained a title at this show. We did not bother to check some of the rings for Finals as we never dreamt that any of the judges would like our darling blue man enough to Final him. To receive a letter from TICA after the show informing us of his title was a wonderful surprise and again, just goes to show that by moving over to TICA was the best thing we ever did.

We are extremely proud of our "blue man" because he has made up to Premier in 4 shows which has surprised us. But more importantly, despite being shown for the first time in his life at 22 months of age, Sage has been totally unphased and completely relaxed at all 4 shows which gives us a tremendous amount of pride at having bred such a boy with such an outstanding temperament. His title is merely the icing on the cake. We have always taken a great deal of pleasure in showing Sage and have numerous comments in the past by members of the general public about how chilled out he is and this always makes us smile. He is the same at home. Graham and I both feel that Sage has exceeded all our dreams and expectations on the show bench and we are now leaning towards retiring him but have not totally decided upon this yet. Time will tell as to whether or not Sage graces the show bench again, but for now, he can have a break from the bench and we will see what happens during the next 12 months.

"Long head with good wedge, has slight pinch, large ears, clear green eyes, profile has tiny dip, firm chin. Short fine coat, close lying, a medium blue colour, but has bronze ticking showing in it today. Body very muscular & firm, very well fed, so plump around to middle, long slim legs, oval paws, long tapering tail. A big lad with a truly lovely sweet happy temperament."

We were totally thrilled that Sage had a red card day on his show debut. As he was 22 months of age when we showed him at the Cambria Cat Club Show and had never been exhibited before, we were delighted with how well he accepted such totally different surroundings, and being handled by so many different people.

"An attractive neuter of good type just needing a little more masculinity. Medium length balanced wedge with wide set ears, almost straight profile & firm chin. Expressive green oriental eyes with a very sorrowful look. Slender medium length body with slim legs & fine tail. Well shown & with a good temperament. He had a sound medium blue close-lying coat."

"Oriental Blue neuter of good type. Wedge head with pinch, angular profile & firm chin. Large eyes of bright green, needing to be more oriental in shape & setting. Large ears open at the base, held forwards. Long plump body, fine whip tail. Close coat of fine texture, dark blue in tone & sound in colour. Gentle boy."

"Blue, generally an even lad of good type, who would benefit with a little more masculinity. Medium length relatively well balanced wedge, very good profile, adequate chin, good bite. Whilst I would ideally have preferred his ears slightly larger they were set well, though required slightly more flare to their base. Excellent vivid green tone to his eyes, slight intermittent (not permanent) squint. Body firm if slightly on the plumper side, slim legs, oval paws, tail requires a little more length to balance the body. Close tight fitting short coat, very good texture. His colour is a mid blue tone which was virtually sound but with a little more evidence of tipping than I would ideally have preferred. Very good condition, a very gentle lad, who was somewhat reserved."
