Introduction ~ Kahlua ~ Tia Maria ~ Amaro ~ Thyme ~ Boleyn ~ Amaretto

"Schimmel Stormy Night " - December 16th, 2003 - July 18th, 2005

Boleyn was named after a queen and a very apt name it was for her. The first time we ever met her, she was sitting with her paws tucked under her, with an expression of regal supremacy on her face. She had a white flash down the side of her nose and two completely white toes. One on one of her forepaws and the other on one of her back paws. And the most beautiful blue eyes, which she would use to perfect effect, whenever she needed to. One glance from those blue eyes would have us all melting and longing to do her bidding! She was without a doubt one of the most stunning cats, ever.

Bo was also one of the vainest cats - ever! She liked nothing better than to sit or lie with the sun streaming through the nearest window, showing her beauty off to her willing subjects. She loved being told just how beautuful she was and as soon as a camera was pointed at her, she posed, so that all could appreciate her beauty. We have some lovely pictures of her, but she made it very easy for us to get them. She was also one of the gentlest and sweetest souls ever. Not for her the loud bluster and naughtiness of her best friend Kyla - Bo was totally a lady. Even her miaow was ladylike! If Kyla was being particularly naughty, she would sigh deeply and look up at Jacqui, as if to say "Look how good I am being, Mum"

From day one, she was Jacqueline's cat. There was never any doubt of that. She always knew when Jacqui had come home and would run to meet her as soon as she heard her car. We never knew how Bo knew, but she was never wrong. She would be waiting at the door, with excitement oozing from every pore, because Mummy was home! When Jacqui came in from work, as soon as she sat down, Bo would be there. Cuddling down on Jacqui's lap, purring in happy contentment and making it quite clear to Jacqui that she was not to move, unless she had permission from her ladyship. At times like these, she really smiled and was never happier than when she was with Jacqui. Both Kyla and Bo slept with Jacqui in her room, but each morning, when Kyla heard us moving around, she would come in to us for a cuddle. That was Bo's favourite time of the day. In bed, with her Mum, getting extra special cuddles and love and constantly being told how gorgeous she was.

But it all had to end. And far too soon. None of us will ever get over the fact that she is gone - Jacqui most of all. We will all miss that gentle, lovely soul, but it was an honour to have loved her and to be loved by her. Jacqui has said that even if she had known that she only had 19 months, on the day she collected her, she would still have done so, because to know and love and be loved by Bo, is something that she would not have missed for the world.

Our babies have gone,
But will never leave us,
There presence is missing,
But will never be lost,
Our hearts are broken,
But they will always be filled with love,
Our memories will remain,
And their legacy's will live on
