Izarra is a beautiful girl and we were thrilled to bits when Davida of Bootylicious Bengals, Siamese, & Burmese very kindly allowed us to have Izarra as a future breed/show queen. Graham adores the Bengals and when his dream of showing/breeding from Frangelico fell apart, we did make the decision to try once again, and we are very grateful to Davida for trusting us with her gorgeous girl.

Izarra is a Blue Eyed Snow Spotted Bengal with the most gorgeous markings that have become more prominent as she has matured. Her coat is incredibly soft to touch and she is a very good sized girl. Within one hour of being in our home, Izarra was confident enough to share her meals with the rest of our cat family and we felt this was a very positive sign of how well she would fit into our cat family. and we were not proved wrong. I am sure that Davida would feel very proud of how well her baby adapted to our own family home.

There is something about Izarra that appeals to our kitten families who visit. I don't know if it is her beautiful looks, or her fantastic temperament but I am constantly being asked "what is she" as visitors cuddle with her. Izarra just totally loves the world, will cuddle with anyone and oh boy is she an active girl. She lacks the grace and elegance of our Oriental cats, but she certainly matches them in energy levels. She is also a television addict and I think as time passes, Graham will have her totally addicted to the baseball. This little treasure is a real "daddy's girl" although she has a tendency to plonk herself on my lap where she will stay for hours kneading my stomach and when I get up, I have to physically remove her from me.

We feel when the time comes, Izarra will be a great mummy because when we have Oriental kittens in the home, Izarra loves to play with them and help to teach them feline etiquette. It did take Izarra quite a while to mature and she did not have her first call until she was approximately 11 months of age. By this time we had already started the search for a future husband for her and now, having found the right boy, we are looking forward to sending her on her honeymoon around May/June 2008.

Izarra truly is a credit to her breeder, Davida, and we know that she will do her breeder proud, both on the bench, and when the time comes, as a breeding queen.
