Schimmel Siamese & Orientals are thrilled to introduce our first Bengal breeding girl................................

When we realised our very good friends, Sue and Paul Creed of Aupeline Bengals and Sokoke had a rather beautiful female baby available, to be honest, we jumped at the chance. The Bengals are a breed that Graham and I both adore and ever since I first met Sue's beautiful Bengals I was totally hooked.

Frangelico is such a delightful girl and is a credit to her breeders. She has only been in our home a very, very, short while, but already, we are thrilled to bits with her beautiful markings and her fantastic temperament. Her coat has the most amazing glitter throughout and her photographs truly do not do her justice. We do think that when the time comes for her first mating, she will produce some lovely babies for us.

We are extremely fortunate in that because this is a very new breed for us, we will be able to get help, support and advice, at any time from Sue and Paul which hopefully means that we will be able to go forwards and not backwards with this beautiful breed. Even though we have successfully been breeding Siamese and Orientals for a little while now, we have an awful lot to learn about Bengal cats and Bengal kittens and prior to Frangelico arriving in our home, we had spent some time looking into the GCCF standard of points, as well as other possible breeding problems that may arise. Fortunately, conversations with Sue during the past few years has meant that we are well aware of what we are taking on by breeding Bengals and we are looking forward to sharing our home and our lives with the Bengal cat.

One thing that we wish to make perfectly clear right from the outset is that our Bengal breeding program, is entirely separate from our Siamese/Oriental breeding program and they shall never be mixed. We are fully aware that there are a number of back yard breeders out there who are just throwing an Oriental and Bengal together and then calling the progeny a Serengeti which is doing an awful lot of harm to a relatively new breed that decent breeders have spent a lot of time and effort in trying to produce the Serengeti. So please do be advised that we breed Bengals, and we breed Siamese and Oriental cats, we most certainly do not, and never will, mix the Bengal breed with our Siamese and Oriental cats.

We will be eternally grateful to Sue and her husband Paul for entrusting to us, one of their beautiful babies, and our aim is to make Sue and Paul proud of the baby that they have bred and the progeny that she will produce. We have always valued Sue's friendship and we will be working very closely with Sue and Paul to get the most out of our Bengal breeding program. It is always difficult when starting out with a new breed, particularly when you are trying to buy in your first breeding girl, however, Sue and Paul have both been amazing and their support is always given freely. Their own Bengal cats are absolutely beautiful with amazing temperaments and if Frangelico is like the rest of her family, we will be expecting great things from her when the time comes.
