I don't even know where to start with this little Chocolate beauty. Our darling Afrikoko was reserved twice as a kitten however, she ended up never leaving home for various reasons. We certainly had never intended to keep her because we will be keeping a girl back from Kamora's first ever litter so to say we are delighted at having Afrikoko in our home is an understatement.

This little girl is incredibly precious and her personality has to be seen to be believed. She is, quite possibly, the most charming kitten we have ever bred with the exception of her sire, Ashanti. To date, everyone who has met Afrikoko has fallen under her spell and has wanted to take her home which is totally understandable.

Once we realised that Afrikoko would be staying in the Schimmel home, the most difficult thing we had to do was find a pet name for her. If you are a regular visitor to our web site, you will be aware that all of our own cats are named after liqueurs so the search began. We eventually found the perfect name for our little girl and that is "Afrikoko". This particularly liqueur is a chocolate and coconut liqueur and it really does seem to suit her. The next problem we had was getting her used to her name! Afrikoko was just over 5 months of age before we knew she would be here forever and up until this point in time she was always known as "Punky Monkey" and it has been quite hard to break the habit of calling her by her kitten diary name. Chances are, by the time our little girl is mature, she will be used to having 2 pet names.

In typical Oriental Tabby fashion Afrikoko does have her very mischievous moments and she is such a very playful girl. She will go to absolutely anyone at all for cuddles and she is extremely attention seeking and demanding. The moment either Graham or myself walk by her if she is sleeping, she wakes up straight away and demands to be picked up and cuddled. Heaven help either of us if we are trying to do some work on the computer because Afrikoko feels she must help mummy and daddy and if that "help" includes wiping loads of work off our computers, then so be it.

We do believe that Afrikoko is a fantastic addition to our cat family and to our breeding program and we will continue to remain enchanted with our little Chocolate lady.
