MICHAMESE BLUEICE, (Ice)
Ice is out of Sharue Golden Boy (Red Point Siamese) x Angisan Zeylie Jamellia (Blue Lynx Point Siamese)

Ice is a blue point Siamese and is a thoroughly delightful boy. He was the first stud cat that we owned and during his short career as a "working boy", Ice produced many beautiful babies. For us, Ice was a fantastic stud boy, and I am sure Michamese would feel relieved to know that once a boy of her own breeding was neutered, that he was not just cast aside and "got rid of" because he could no longer sire any babies. I would think that any breeder would be happy to know that a cat of their breeding is a much loved family member and has a home for life!

Ice is a friendly boy who adores cuddles and loves to sleep curled up with his women in the home. When Ice was 2 years of age, we made the decision that we would be neutering him before he turned 3. The reason for this is that in our personal opinion, stud boys have rather lonely lives, stuck outside in stud houses and even though Ice shared his home outside with Galliano, and was brought back inside periodically to keep him socialised and happy, it still is not the same as being part of the family. While we fully understand that stud boys can not reside in the home, we are not prepared to have them live outside working until they are 14 years old and drop dead from being overworked without ever being part of a family environment, as we personally feel that is no life for any furry family member. Unlike so many other "reputable" breeders, here at Schimmel we do NOT rehome one of our cats just because they are no longer able to work. We chose to buy in or breed our cats for queens and studs and when their career is over, it is our responsibility to ensure that the rest of their lives are lived out with us in a home full of love and comfort.

Ice's duties have since been taken over by our other stud boys and Ice is now enjoying his life of luxury in our home with the rest of the family.

We couldn't believe how well Ice fit back in with the rest of our feline family, it was as if he had never spent a couple of years in the stud house. He gets on with all of our cats, and he is a wonderful "Grandfather/Great Grandfather" to all the Schimmel babies. He is often seen cuddling up with the babies and giving them baths to make sure they are clean and there is nothing he likes more than to join them in a game of paper football up and down the hallway. Of course, being a stud cat, he does have a tendency to spray, despite being neutered, however, spraying is something that breeders accept and constant cleaning is part of everyday life.

We feel that during his time as a stud cat, he really did us proud with the babies he produced who were not only beautiful, but they have the wonderful temperament that all Schimmel babies have. His progeny are an absolute delighted to their families.
