SCHIMMEL CHARMING CHIVES, (Amarula)
Amarula is out of Michamese Blueice (Blue Point Siamese) x Simoneeze Chinchaku (Havana)

Amarula is an Oriental Black and is the daughter of our Havana girl, Amaretto, and she has the most amazing personality. She is also brother to 2 of our neuter boys, Sage and Parsley. We love this girl to bits. She's such a happy, bouncy girl who loves getting into mischief. In one way, she is a typical Black Oriental as all Blacks (and indeed Black Torties) have that something special about them there is just not there with any other colours.

She is a lovely balanced girl who loves nothing more than playing with our other cats or spending her time with us humans for cuddles. When she was a baby, she was a very chatty girl and if any of us happened to walk past her and didn't stop to stroke her, she would look up at us and start to talk to us to remind us that she wanted some attention.

Again, in the typically Oriental fashion, she is also extremely demanding and we wouldn't have it any other way. We chose the name, Amarula because her mother is named Amaretto and we wanted something very similar and Amarula is yet another divine liqueur, keeping in tradition with the rest of our cats' names.

Amarula was a wonderful mum who doted on her babies. Her first litter was born in April, 2006. Amaretto's first litter was not an easy one and once her babies had left home and she had recovered from being a mum, we decided many months later to try her once more. Again, Amarula had problems with her 2nd litter in that she needed to have an emergency C-section. Once this happened, we made the decision that she would be spayed once her babies left home. When they left her, Amarula was duly spayed, and we now have yet another wonderful neuter girl in our home.

This little girl has never caused us a moment's bother in her life, and even after being spayed, she continues to be a "mummy" to all the other babies in the home. She truly is a remarkable girl and we feel so very lucky to be able to share our home with her.
