We have no plans to send Kamora for her first honeymoon until approximately February 2009, by which time she will be 18 months old. We have spent the past 12 months showing her with TICA and just enjoying having her in our home.

From the moment we realised that Kamora was a female we knew that she would make a great addition to our Oriental Tabby breeding program and it is so important that a lot of thought goes into choosing her first "husband". We had 2 choices, we could either go for colour i.e. try and concentrate on breeding more Cinnamon's or we concentrate on the pattern. This was a very easy decision to make because as novice Tabby breeders, what matters most at this stage of our breeding is the pattern and getting it right.

With this in mind, Kamora needs to be mated with a boy who not only has a great pattern, but one who passes on the pattern to his progeny. Just to make it even more impossible however, it is the Classic pattern we are seeking for Kamora's future husband, or at the very least a clear patterned Tabby who is a proven Classic carrier. We think we have now found the perfect "husband" for our Kamora. He is almost exactly what we have been searching for and we are incredibly excited about this future mating so please check back in March 2009 for details of Kamora's first honeymoon.

We will, of course, be keeping a female back ourselves from Kamora's first litter.
