No breeder ever started out "knowing it all" or was able to breed without help from mentors. The thing about breeding is that you continue to learn something new all of the time, no matter how many babies you produce. It is essential that all breeders have a support network that they can go to for advice and help. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have had (and still have) a number of wonderful breeders along the way to help us. Some breeders stand out in particular and they are:

Tina of Maroochydore Siamese - Teen has been there for me throughout the start of my breeding program. No matter what questions I ask her, or how often I need her advice, nothing is ever too much trouble for Teen. She's been there for me when I have lost babies, and her support as a breeder, as well as a mate, is something that I value immensely. A friend like Teen is one to be treasured. Teen's husband, Tony, has also been absolutely marvellous, and no matter how often I keep his wife on the phone, he never complains (at least not to me anyway) :). He has also sorted out our door and window screens for us and we think hes a pretty special guy. We feel honoured to have 2 Schimmel cats, Schimmel Wirruna, and Schimmel Maroochydore Kuru, in the Maroochydore home and we hope they will be the start of a very special line for Teen and Tone, as well as Val who shares the Maroochydore prefix..
Doreen and Keith of Zeppelin/Fleic/Turbo Siamese & Orientals - Dor and Keith were kind enough to allow us into stud with our Oriental girl, Cacao and it is thanks to Dor and Keith that our Oriental line has gone on to do so well. Not only that, Dor has always been available to answer any questions I have and to advise me when I have a problem or am unsure of something
Donna of Chinasea Siamese & Orientals (no longer breeding) - It is thanks to Donna that we were able to produce the wonderful Oriental cats that we have as Cacao was bred by Donna.

We are extremely grateful for their help, advice and support in our breeding program.

Special thanks must also go to my husband Graham, and our daughter, Mo, for putting up with all the long telephone calls, the endless time spent on the computer, the sleepless nights, the short temper when things go wrong, and for all the help they give me throughout it all. Without them and their support, I would never have been able to breed these wonderful cats.
