Schimmel Siamese & Oriental Cats are Oriental cat breeders based in Oxford, UK. We sometimes have Oriental and Siamese kittens for sale. We also have 2 Oriental Stud Cats and online kitten diaries.

The Schimmel prefix is jointly owned by Kat and Graham Waddon and our home is shared with two human adults, one human child, two rescue dogs, the tropical fish and of course the Siamese and Orientals.

Our prefix, SCHIMMEL, is registered with the GCCF. Our chosen prefix is named after one of our hobbies which is jigsaw puzzles. Some of my favourite puzzles are done by an artist called Schimmel and his images of wild animals and sea life are incredibly beautiful.

All of our cats live indoors, with the exception of our stud boys, Galliano and Sheridans. Although our boys still come in the home on a regular basis for lots of extra cuddles and attention. Each of our fur children have their own special personality and we are very lucky to be owned by such wonderful fur kids. Our cats, dogs and chinchillas all live in harmony here in our house and take up quite a lot of our time. Our chinchillas belong to our daughter and are her responsibility and they enjoy their twice daily exercise in the cat run, as well as sitting in their cage tormenting the cats!

Our aim is to produce Siamese, Oriental and Sokoke kittens of excellent health and temperament, whilst trying to improve on the type in our kittens without putting the health of our cats or kittens at risk. We feel it is far more important to have happy, healthy babies, as opposed to compromising their health just to get the required show looks. That is not to say that we don't strive for type in our kittens because we show our own cats, and encourage new kitten families to show their Schimmel babies. It is for this reason that our outside studs are chosen very carefully to compliment our queens and our own stud boys were chosen/bred for their particular line and breeding. We are very proud of the babies we have bred so far as they have all settled in with their new families exceptionally well, some have also appeared on the show bench and done quite well.

We live in a very quiet area and are fortunate enough to be able to stay home with our cats day and evening. There is of course, the occasional Saturday where we are either at football matches, or cat shows. Apart from this, other hobbies include, jigsaw puzzles, DIY, watching films, reading, having BBQ's and chatting on the phone to other "cat people".
