Chianti & Toscana - Now sharing their lives with Caroline and Simon
Click Here to read the Chocolate Bars Kitten Diary for the first 13 weeks of Chianti & Toscana's life.

"Chianti loved staying with my work colleague who has two children. Her four year old son and Chianti became very close over the few days she spent there. Settled back down with me now and as bold as ever. Eating perfectly and racing around like a crazy cat! She sleeps in the lounge as all her things are in there and it's warmer! We've closed door a couple nights so she'd get used to staying in 'her' room. Last night \i forgot to close the door. At 2:09am I had a purring kitten sitting on my head. It scared the life out of me as she suddenly jumped up! She wouldn't settle so I kissed and cuddled her and then put her back to bed. We are really enjoying having Chianti with us. She makes us laugh so much. Thank you for such a beautiful, affectionate and confident little girl. I know she must miss you and all her brothers and sisters but I know that she is enjoying the new chapter in her life too.

Chianti is still a bit of a bully but Toscana gives as good as she gets. And, we have many bushy tail moments. Only once or twice have we had to intervene. Other than that, they both give us plenty to laugh about. They love their cuddles and lots of fuss.

I still feel that Toscana doesn't need me as much. She hasn't experienced being on her own so always has Chianti. It's only when Chianti is out of the room that she really lets go and purrs to her hearts content. In fact, at first I thought it was because she worried of Chianti. She wouldn't come near me or go near the food if Chianti was there. But she would curl up and sleep with her! Saying that though, she is a lot better and is getting more relaxed with each day. I think she may even become more dominant but, I suppose that's what you get when she is named after a region in Italia and Chianti is just a little town within it!"

"Caroline here, proud owner of Chianti and Toscana.

After 6 months we eventually managed to get our camera fixed just before christmas. I've been wanting to take some photos for so long and send them to you. My furgirls have grown, yet are still beautifully petite and gorgeous in every way.

We are all looking forward to the arrival of a new addition to our family. Not a fur baby but one with a lot less fur (I hope!). Our due date is 30th January. Not long to go now. Unfortunately Chi and Tosca can no longer both fit on my lap due to my bump. They are quite put out by this. One will sit down and the other will try join us. They then hustle for the best position and one ends up on the floor. They much prefer when I am lying on the settee.

Can cats sense a baby? I ask that because they have become quite protective of me. They followed me every where before but now its getting ridiculous. I can't leave the room without them crying for me. And they absolutely love the fact that I am at home now (on my maternity leave) - I am a 24-seven human cushion!

I will send a pic of the girls with the non-fur baby when it arrives. We didn't want to find out the baby's gender at our scan. It's far more exciting to wait and see for ourselves. I hope you are enjoying your new home and location. I am so glad I came across your website when I did.

I I know I've had the girls for 14 months but it just made me grateful that you were so close by at the time.

Happy New Year to you and your family."
