Eliza - Now sharing her life with Jill and fur kid, Sybil

"She's eaten some chicken just a couple of mouthfuls and some of Sybils biscuits have topped up the bowl with kitten biscuits. No drink or toilet yet but she is exploring now. Sybil is in the cupboard so not impressed with either of us. She does have some lungs on her doesn't she! She meows when shes eating! "

"So I thought you would probably like to know how Eliza’s getting on.

Well its days 2 now and she’s doing so well. She has well and truly bonded with me. On the 1st night she came for a snuggle on the bed and did again last night and then after I moved suddenly promptly got up and went to her bed by the radiator. She follows me around and has also been trying to help type this email.

She’s eating and has been using the litter no little accidents! She’s a little star.

I see what you mean about the trotters being very loud when she is not right next to me she is telling me what she is doing and boy is she a chatterbox.

She’s also a pretty amazing gymnast we were playing with the fishing rod thingo and wow can she jump I kind of am not surprised Rodney could have strained himself if he jumps anything like his sister. She’s amused herself with paper football and running around the flat like a mad cat as well.

Oh and she bit me! I gave her some cat treats and I guess she was wanting more – drew blood, sharp little fangs. My fault really I’m used to Sybil who doesn’t really bite just puts her mouth around your finger.

And now to Sybil not a happy camper at all. Spent yesterday in the cupboard although she is out now there is no improvement anytime Eliza comes near her she growls and hisses. Only swiped at her once so far.

It doesn’t seem to be upsetting Eliza to much she certainly isn’t one to run and hide she just keeps a healthy distance. Am trying to mingle there scents and I guess that will happen. Glad I took a week off though wouldn’t feel happy about going to work tomorrow and leaving them here alone just yet.

So just want to say thank you again for allowing me to take your baby she certainly lives up to her pedigree name Chestnut Delight. She really is a delight. I figure Sybil can’t keep up the animosity forever. Oh and you are so right about photographing her, bloody nightmare. Anyway have attached one with her eyes slightly open.

Take care I know it must be hard at the moment with so many babies leaving you but remember all us new owners feel blessed that we have been chosen by you to be owned by one of those babies and they will be cherished, adored and loved."

"Just thought I should let you know I took Eliza to the vet today for her check up. The vet totally loved her he thought she was stunning. He weighed her and said her weight was perfect. Was very impressed with all the Champions in her line.

He thought your prefix was very funny as that’s his surname! He was very interested in her diet and thought it was great.

He asked me to ask you about neutering whether there was anything in the lines about the fur growing back. He said sometimes with pedigrees that if they do a flank cut the hair can grow back a different colour and he would not like for that to happen for Eliza.

He was horrified that the vet nurse had not put her on the computer as a pedigree Oriental but as a domestic shorthaired! He also said she made his day! Another cat had shredded his arm. I have made another appointment for her for 6 weeks for a free weighing. Oh yes I see what you mean about her language the whole thing was made much worse by the fact we had to wait for an hour! She's well and truly settled in now and is sleeping peacefully on my lap at the moment.

She's also getting very bold with Sybil goes right up to her and follows her - Sybil still not having a bar of her but is letting her get closer."
