At last I managed to get some photos, not great ones, but they are better than nothing :) Thames is doing incredibly well although he can be a little mischievous at times and he is currently going through that "nipping" stage which most young male kittens go through, although he is relatively gentle bless him. Even now he is still an incredibly cuddly cat, and unlike Pecan, if you pick Thames up for cuddles he will happily stay with you all day long. Whilst he may look like his father, he definitely has Toussaint's loving temperament.

As you can no doubt tell, it's been a struggle to get any kitten diary entries online. As such, when Thames turns 13 weeks of age, his diary will temporarily cease, like the Nuts/Detectives' diaries, but will be updated again when Thames leaves home.

Thames, well nothing actually ever seems to change much with him although he has been spending more time upstairs during these past 48 hours than he previously was. Mind you, I think the reason for this is that he is desperately eager to know what is going on behind the closed door of the 2nd kitten room. The poor guy can't understand why I'm going in there all the time but won't let him in :)

Unfortunately there are still no photos today and all kitten diaries are exactly the same. I did originally have plans to do the diaries as per normal today however at approximately 1730 yesterday, one of our ladies went into labour. It was a long labour that didn't finish until around 0200 this morning which meant I have had very little sleep and have spent all of today doing the normal chores, taking care of all the children, and closely monitoring the newborns. It's now 1638 and I still have at least 10 loads of washing to sort through, as well as trying desperate hard to make arrangements to collect the newest fur addition to the Schimmel home. Tomorrow is going to be an absolute nightmare so please do not worry if there are no entries online tomorrow. The babies are all doing well however.

You will have all noticed I have missed a couple of days' entries in the kitten diaries and rather than go into any long drawn out stories about recent "disasters" (not cat related), I will simply say that this week, and next week, are going to be horrendous. As it stands at the moment, I will endeavour to get the kitten diaries online as per normal but would say not to be surprised if we miss days here and there. Today's entries are very brief text only entries but one way or another, I will be taking photos tomorrow.

Thames is now 12 weeks of age, a total angel, and most definitely part of the family now. He continues to spend all of his time downstairs with our adult cat family, and with My Cino. He does still sometimes go upstairs to play with the other kittens but it not for very long although having said that, all of the other kittens are constantly downstairs anyway so he isn't really missing out on any younger company by being down here. As I type this entry, he is curled up asleep in the bottom bunk bed along with Cashew, Nancy Drew, My Cino, and Cointreau.
