Day 62 - December 12, 2006
You can tell by the photos that our Trotters still have not been moved downstairs. We have been in and out all day today with errands that we've had to do and I need to be in all day long for when the babies' first move downstairs. It's definitely time to move them though as they are now creating havoc upstairs. We no longer close the door to the kitten room of an evening so throughout the night, the Trotters can come and go as they please and they do seem to really appreciate this. Of course this does mean that there is quite a bit of noise all night long as the babies thump about but they are having a lot of fun and that's the main thing :) As each day passes, our Trotters are growing more and more, and their facial features are also changing in my opinion.

Day 61 - December 11, 2006

I would like to start both kitten diary entries off by saying a huge congratulations to our darlings, Sage, and Ashanti, for showing themselves off beautifully at the National Cat Club show on Saturday. I would also like to confirm that we will definitely be expecting more beautiful Schimmel Siamese kittens in January 2007. I am definitely on the mend now and the diaries shall continue in their normal fashion. But before I start, I'd like to say a big thank you to our kind kitten families and our mates for the emails and phone calls wishing me well, and all of our friends on Siamese Cat Chat for their thoughts and prayers during my illness.

Hopefully you can tell by the photos below that our Trotters have grown and that they are doing brilliantly. I'm struggling to type this entry as Blackjack is running about all over my work surface and trying to "help" mum with her typing bless him. I've been a bit surprised with the Trotters' changes during the last couple of days as personalities are so much stronger now. Trigger is most definitely, the bravest of all 4 Trotters, and he was also the first baby to come all the way down the bottom of the stairs "closely watched by Toussaint I might add" and I received such a shock when I walked past the stairs and saw him sitting there. He really is a super brave guy :) Rodney, well he still follows the lead of the brothers and sister and will only venture forward if he feels reassured by them that it is "safe". Even though he is still a scaredy cat, he has improved greatly though. Del Boy, in typical Red fashion, is forever starting the wrestling matches and it's not uncommon to walk past and find him on top of his sister or brothers, pinning them to the ground and nipping which protruding limbs he can manage to get in his mouth. Racquel, like Trigger, is quite fearless, and she totally and utterly adores having her ears stroked and her tummy rubbed, she is such a loving little girl, but...........being a Havana, she is also an extremely stubborn and very intelligent little girl. Unlike all of our other litters, the Trotters, at this age, are only on 3 meals per day. Wet/cooked meals that is. The rest of the time they are eating their James Wellbeloved kitten biscuits (Turkey & Rice) which they absolutely love. I will not be increasing the number of their wet/cooked meals because I do prefer them to eat the biscuits as they are a much blander, complete food, although it is obviously important that they are given other foods as well though. Hopefully tomorrow, should this darn rain ever stop, the Trotters will be moving downstairs.

Day 56 - December 6, 2006

As you can tell, our kitten diaries came to a sudden halt with no explanation and this is the briefest of entries as it's a struggle to sit at the computer for more than a very short time. To cut a very long story short, I was taken to hospital on Saturday evening with a severe urinary tract infection. Since then, I've been on antibiotics and 3 different types of painkillers, most of which I gave up on as they just made me so nauseous. From Saturday through until Monday I couldn't move, couldn't eat, could only drink water and it was only Tuesday lunch time that I started to feel slightly better. I am still a way off being well and as you can imagine until today, the bulk of the work involving cats and kittens has been left to Graham and Mo. It's going to be at least another few days before I'm functioning properly, at least I hope it is no more than that because this can not go on much longer, so I'm hoping next week, possibly sooner, I can start to get some entries back online as per normal but at the moment it all depends on my own health and what I'll be capable of. I'm still on the a/b's which are starting to work although the pain has not gone yet, but it is so much more bearable now. I rarely ever get sick because I just don't have the time, there is always too much to do, so this has come as a huge shock to the system. I really can not leave it at this without saying a very big thank you to Teen and Tone because they happened to visit us on Saturday afternoon and normally I love their visits so much but towards the end, I was struggling and Teen turned from being my best mate into being my "mum" and bullied me (as she put it) to go up to the hospital. Thank goodness she did. We are just so incredibly grateful to them both for everything they have done, their love and support, and their constant offers of help. I really can not put into words just how much they did for us or how great they have been but hopefully they know how much we love and appreciate them. I can tell you all that your fur children are all doing very well although unfortunately, they have not taken pity on me at all and are creating as much havoc, mess, and noise as they do when I am well.
