Day 69 - October 3, 2005
Cute T is definitely an extremely nosy cat and has to check out absolutely everything on the off chance he finds something that he takes a liking to. There is not a corner in the house that he hasn't explored but his favourite place for playing games is in and behind the TV where he and Twix seem to have an awful lot of fun. I'm dreading the day when Graham decides to sit on the lounge and watch the footy to find that the TV won't work due to babies having pulled out all the leads and wires! Both Mrs T and Cute T are really doing all the normal things that kittens do at this age, tearing around the house and getting into mischief.

Day 68 - October 2, 2005
Mrs T is showing herself as wanting to be part of the family so she must know that when her brother leaves here, that she will be remaining because last night, during "visiting time" in the bedroom, she was curled up on the bed with Graham and I, having cuddles and little games so already she is making her place in the family which is lovely to see. Cute T also popped in and out during visiting time but he wasn't interested in climbing up on the bed, he was much more interested in climbing in and out of the clothes shelves, and making a bed out of my slippers!

Day 67 - October 1, 2005

I was going to start off this entry by saying that Cute T had some wonderful cuddles with his new mum and dad today, however, on reflection, he had a lot more cuddles with mum, than dad as Andrew was too busy taking photos of his new baby. I say "trying" because it was very difficult to take pics when Tia Lusso kept stick her big head right in front of the lens at the most inappropriate of moments. As it was, when Cheryl and Andrew turned up, I didn't even know where Cute T was! I knew he was in the house somewhere and as it turns out, he'd been snoozing upstairs with a couple of the other babies. It was really lovely to see Cheryl and Andrew again and they gave me the most unusual, beautiful gift. I'm now trying to come up with a name for our new baby and will be hoping and praying that I don't manage to kill him within the first month by over grooming him or by drowning him! Before you start panicking, I am referring to a Bonsai Tree :) As for my darling Mrs T, well due to the fact that we've had a few visitors today etc. I must be honest and admit I've barely seen her! She's been upstairs most of the day and hasn't ventured down a great deal at all. The only problem with seeing Cheryl and Andrew today was that I had to admit to Cheryl that Cute T was now missing quite a few of his whiskers as they had been chewed off................and not by me either. I don't know who the whisker chewer is but poor Cute T's beautiful, long white whiskers are no more. Fortunately, they will grow back.

There are no photos again today as I've just not had the time. It's a miracle that the diaries even made it online today. I'll make sure I have lots of photos for tomorrow's entry to make up for it.

Day 66 - September 30, 2005
The T's entry and the Chocolate Bars entry are both exactly the same today due to the fact that both litters had their first set of vaccinations today (Flu, Ent. & FeLV). Before I even write anything about their visit to the vets, I simply must say that our vet, Dr Andy Garton, has simply got to be one of the absolute best vets in the world. Any breeder knows that in order to breed successfully, you have to have a vet you can trust, a vet who will listen, and a vet who knows what he/she is doing and we are so lucky to have that, and much more in Andy. Now, as for the babies themselves, it was stressful for me as I loathe first vaccination time and spend the next 24 hours monitoring everyone so very closely to see if we have any side effects, which so far, we have never had. The biggest problem I've had with these 2 litters is that even though we use a modified vaccine, it's still advisable to keep the babies away from any unvaccinated kittens in the house in case the vaccinated babies are shedding. Normally, this is not a problem because I would just put the vaccinated babies in the kitten room and they would live there for a few days however, the kitten room is taken up with Sambuca and the Berries. Nor can they go in the back room because that is where our Dancers are. I am just so very glad that for the last couple of days, the babies have all had full run of the house and last night, while we were upstairs, the babies all had the run of the place, some even came upstairs to visit us in the bedroom which was really cute. Whilst they've had a few days with total freedom, they are now getting a crash course in "fitting into the household". During the day, they will have free run of the house, except for the back room obviously, and then of an evening, the babies will either sleep upstairs, or downstairs with the doors closed. This will keep our 2 unvaccinated litters totally protected. To be honest, it is an absolute pain to have to do this but we would rather be safe than sorry. The only other alternative would have been to move Sami and the Berries into our bedroom for a few days, but as Sami is comfortable and the Berries are thriving, I do not want to start moving them around. I had to rearrange litter trays, food bowls, etc. etc. which hasn't been easy and we also have to keep making sure that the babies know where everything is. They were so good during their examinations, and everyone's hearts checked out normally, as did everything else. Not a single baby cried or shied away from the needle and we were really proud of them. They were little angels. Upon the return home, the carriers were placed on the floor, the doors were opened and ever since, the babies have not stopped tearing throughout the house! At the time of writing this entry, they are still all on the go, chasing each other, chasing the older cats, being chased by the older cats, climbing up the sofa, sitting on the dining table chairs and creating havoc in general. I have to admit though, that I'm really pleased to see them being so active are their visit to the vets. I did take a few photos very late yesterday afternoon, which I will add to the entries a bit later today. I'm not going to take any today because that would mean chasing them all around the house hoping to get a good photo as they run riot which is virtually impossible. Also, after the trip to the vets, I'm now behind on a few things so I really need to get organised for the rest of the day.

Day 65 - September 29, 2005

Just like the Chocolate Bars, Cute T and Mrs T have their first set of vaccinations tomorrow morning which I am absolutely dreading. So don't expect much of an entry tomorrow at all. Also, just like the other babies, both of them have had lots of fun running around the house. At one stage, I even caught Cute T attempting to climb up the tablecloth <groan>. There's always one baby in each litter I think that does this. Both the babies also have a fascination with Graham's trainers to the point where they will even sit inside them which looks quite funny because you see a massive pair of shoes with a baby inside each shoe.

At this stage, there are no photos yet because the babies are all sound asleep on their bed and I think that sleeping photos can tend to become rather boring so when they are awake this afternoon, I will try and get some pics to add to the entry. I just wanted to get the entry online because if I don't do it now while it's quiet, I never will!

Day 64 - September 28, 2005
Cute T has been rather well behaved today for a change which is quite nice. He hasn't annoyed any of his "brothers or sisters" and has played gently with them all. Mind you, our babies have not moved a great deal off the tub today and this is probably because as the weather is cooler now, I have put a heat pad underneath their vet bed to keep them cozy and snug. We are going to have to keep an eye on Mrs T as she matures because when she was running throughout the house yesterday evening, I caught her starting to chew on one of the cords at the back of the TV which did not impress me. None of our babies have ever chewed electrical leads in the time they have been here and I'm not about to let one of them start that dangerous habit now.

Day 63 - September 27, 2005 - 9 weeks old today!
Yet again, another week of the T's lives has simply flown by and it's hard for me to believe that Cute T and Mrs T are now 9 weeks of age. I guess that I am going to have to look at getting the babies vaccinated at some point this week but to be honest, I'm lacking enthusiasm and motivation to take them in to be done. Maybe on Thursday or Friday. At least I have sent off their registration form now so they will soon have official names which I'm looking forward to. I am pleased that there were no parties last night and the back room just had the normal "overnight" mess in it thank goodness. I had full intentions to take photos today however, it came to having to make a decision on whether or not we actually go and do a massive food shop which is horrendous, but obviously takes priority over photos. Unfortunately, the food shop won and as usual, it took hours to shop and then forever to find room in the cupboards to put it so there's not photos today :(
