Day 48 - September 12, 2005
Do you remember me saying earlier that since the arrival of the Dancers downstairs that Mrs T was no longer interested in sitting on my lap during the day as she wanted to spend her time with new playmates? Today has been a sad day for me as lost my tiny Black last night from Sami's litter and all day today, Mrs T has wanted to be with me, sitting in my lap and purring away. It's as if she knows something is not right and she wants to be close to me which is really very special. Cute T just does not change from one day to the next! He is a bundle of joy and energy and still always in the thick of things. Even now, whenever he is pictured in any of the photos, he is always the Siamese baby that stands out the most and I would bet any amount of money that Cheryl and Graham can pick which one he is in every photo :) I can't believe they are both going to 7 weeks old tomorrow. The time is starting to fly by way too quickly now.

Day 47 - September 11, 2005

Most entries are the same today, incredibly short with no photos sorry as I have had people here off and on all day and quite a lot to do.

Neither Amaretto or Drambuie are particularly happy with me at the moment because when I feed the babies now, I put them out of the room and they don't get to eat the kitten food. There are a couple of reasons for that with the first reason being that the mum's are gobbling up all the kitten food and while they do that, the babies are trying to feed off the mum's instead of from the plate. The other reason is that because the babies are getting quite a lot of different varieties, the food is upsetting the mum's digestive systems as they are used to a much blander diet. The Chocolate Bars and The T's are still prone to the Whiskas varieties but fortunately, they are nibbling at the dry kitten biscuits much more often now which is great. At the moment, they are little terrors and into absolutely everything. Meal times are horrific because as soon as they see me get up from my chair and go into the kitchen, they come running in after me and I can not get the door shut in time. Poor Graham was trying to make breakfast this morning while I was preparing their breakfast and next thing you know, both humans and 12 kittens are all in the kitchen at the same time which was an absolutely nightmare. It's just as well that once the newspaper rattles, everyone comes running back into their room because they know they are going to get fed.

Day 46 - September 10, 2005
I've been staring at this entry now for 10 minutes wondering what on earth to write. It's rather difficult because as the T's are really part of the Chocolate Bars litter, it's very hard to think of something to tell you that is unique to the T's only. One thing I can say is that this warm weather we've been having seems to bring out the worst in the 2 babies. While everyone else's cats and kittens just sleep in this weather, the 2 T's are constantly on the go. They have so much energy that it really does surprise me sometimes. Out of the two, Cute T is definitely the biggest trouble maker still and even now will still instigate a lot of the battles that take place in the room between the babies. Mrs T is much more interested in climbing and exploring but Cute always wants to wrestle with someone or pounce on someone. At the time of writing these diaries, there is an immense peace and quiet throughout the room. Drambuie is on the chair with all of her beautiful Dancers. Amaretto is on the bed on the floor with the Chocolate Bars and the T's. I do not know how long this tranquility will last but I'm going to finish off this entry here while it's still quiet and I can get some work done.

Day 45 - September 9, 2005

For the next couple of days, diary entries may be a bit shorter with slightly fewer photos as Sambuca gave birth yesterday which means I am quite literally run off my feet with babies at the moment. I will do entries each day but as I'm sure you can appreciate, they are very time consuming and I can't let the diaries take priority over the babies and the time I spend with them.

Mrs T & Cute T, are very active today and full of mischief. They have been constantly pouncing on Amaretto's tail, chewing all the limbs they could find on any Red babies, not the Black ones for some odd reason, and have been creating havoc in general. Mind you, it it so lovely to see them bouncing around and having such a great time. I must admit that since the arrival of the Dancers downstairs, Mrs T has become far less dependant on me and no longer climbs up my legs to sit on my lap and sleep. She is far too occupied playing with her 6 new brothers.

Day 44 - September 8, 2005
I've come to the conclusion that Cute T should have been named "Tigger" or "Thumper" because when he's awake, all he does is bounce around! He really is so very active and is constantly looking for trouble. Both he and Mrs T are the first babies to try and climb the small barrier that goes up at the kitchen door while dinner is being prepared and the table is being set. We can't keep the kitchen door closed because every time we open it to bring plates or food through, 12 babies all come running in. To stop this happening, we kept the door open but put up a barrier and wouldn't you know it, Mrs T and Cute T just climb up straight over it! It was bad enough with 6 babies but now there is 12, it's rather deadly trying to maneuver around them with plates of hot food. I think we need to come up with another solution before Graham goes on strike and refuses to cook. Just like the Chocolate Bars, both Cute T and Mrs T seem really happy now to have such an array of colourful new play mates and I did have to laugh yesterday as I sat in my chair watching one of the Dancers and Mrs T exchanging blow for blow. They were sitting next to each other and took it in turns to raise one paw, smack the other, and then wait to be smacked in return. At this age, they are so very funny. As usual, photos are all really the same today due to lack of energy and being run ragged by 12 babies.

Day 43 - September 7, 2005
A very hectic day due to the fact that the Dancers were moved downstairs this morning and were settled in the room by 9am. It also does not help that I keep thinking it's Monday as our daughter went back to school today, so I'm rather mixed up at the moment. Mrs T, just like Crunchie and Twix, did not care at all that we had new babies in the room. Cute T was a nightmare though. He was constantly going in and out of the Dancers box and snuggling up with them and trying to play with them. I just could not get it through to him that the Dancers are not his litter mates. I think to Cute T that if something is small and has fur, then it's his friend. Bless him, he just loves the whole world. Fortunately, he finally settled down with his own friends on their bed and went to sleep which gave me some respite and allowed me time to write diary entries for today. There's very little in the way of photos because while we're now going through the "settling in" period for all the babies being together in one room and time is something I really have very little of.

Day 42 - September 6, 2005 - we are 6 weeks old today!
All diary entries really are the same today, and with no photos also. The reason for this is that I've been out for the majority of the day and have had very little time and am now way behind. This really was my last opportunity to leave the house as Sambuca is now due in 3 days time so I am housebound whilst I wait for babies to be born. The Chocolate Bars and The T's didn't seem to miss me too much today and they obviously had a little party while I was out because upon arrival home, there was scattered litter and dry food all over the place! I am pleased that the babies have now caught on to the "screwed up paper ball" games. Late yesterday afternoon, I flicked one across the floor to Crunchie and he caught on straight away. He is such a clever boy. He started batting about the floor, jumping in excitement every time the paper ball moved across the floor. Obviously it wasn't long before Mrs T also decided to join in and they had a great time. While this was going on, I had to smile at Whispa because she was sitting in the cat carrier, obviously wanting to join in as well so she kept putting her front paw out, whenever the ball came near to the carrier and she kept batting the air with her paw. I did put the ball in the carrier with her which delighted her but obviously as there is bedding in the carrier, the ball wouldn't roll well so I took her and the ball out of the carrier so she could play with it properly.
