Day 41 - September 5, 2005
I don't know if it's the weather, however for the past 2 days, the babies have been so incredibly active and played games constantly running around the room and in general, having a wonderful time. Although this morning, most of their time has been spent curled up with and feeding from Amaretto who hasn't left their side much at all today which is quite nice. As you can see by the photos below, the office chairs are no longer safe from tiny claws and babies. They use the small blue pyramid as a stepping stone to the large chair and they are all so proud of themselves as they sit on the chair, surveying their domain. I just know it's inevitable now that someone is going to push someone else off the chair at some point.

Day 40 - September 4, 2005
I was just about to start this entry when Mrs T climbed my legs and settled herself down on my lap purring away. Everyone else was starting to sleep after their exertions this morning but as usual, Mrs T knew that if she came to me, she would get lots of cuddles and little games. Obviously this makes doing the entry rather difficult as I'm stopping after every couple of words to play with her. Anyway, Sheridans had been hanging around the back room all morning, watching the babies and he decided that he wanted to sleep on my lap so he jumped up but got rather a surprise to find a tiny kitten on there. His way of solving the problem was to sit on top of Mrs T which he promptly did and all I could see was her head. I managed to squeeze the rest of her out from under his rather massive body and she snuggled right up into him and started to sleep. The poor guy had no idea what to make if this, he growled a couple of times but then sighed, rested his head on her back and closed his eyes as well to sleep and there they remained. It is like David and Goliath and she is so small and he is a massive, massive kitten. Cute T even had a meeting with Sheridans this morning because he was bouncing around the room, looking for someone to attack and it was unfortunate that the person he chose was Sheridans who was sitting there calmly, watching the babies. So he ran straight up to him, and was just about to pounce when he put his head down and gave a small growl. He scuttled away under the chair leg just poking his head out to see if he was going to eat him or not. Sheridans just looked at him and walked away. As soon as Sheridans back was turned, sure enough Cute T ran out from under the chair, straight up behind him, smacked him on the leg (that is all of him that she could reach) and ran back into the bed.

Day 39 - September 3, 2005
Cute T and Mrs T are doing quite well and extremely active little babies. Cute T is still constantly always wrestling with someone. He just can't resist the temptation of a play fight. I can guarantee that whenever there is a tiny squeal because the playing has gotten too rough, it is always Cute T who has been the tormentor. Mind you, Crunchie got some of his own back on her because he waited until she was resting and he then jumped on her head! Today's photos are not wonderful as the sun was shining directly on the babies but I wanted to give you an idea of what they are like when they are playing games with each other.

Day 38 - September 2, 2005
I'm afraid that all entries are virtually the same today and there are no photos at all. The reason for this is that for the first time in over a month, something had to take priority over the babies and that something was the "Jungle". I can not remember the last time I mowed our back yard and we have quite a large yard. I've only now just come back inside from mowing and the front still has to be done. This is why entries are so late and there's virtually nothing in them. The babies all now have full house access for most of the day and I was stunned yesterday afternoon to see all 6 babies outside in the cat run (at this point, the grass was higher than the babies, hence the urgency to get the mowing done!). It's finally occurred to them all that the outside is a great place to be which is lovely. The sunshine and fresh air will be great for them. They're still a bit wary of our older kittens, particularly as Galliano and Sheridans have this horrible habit of growling at the babies whenever they encounter them. Mind you, the babies are not put off by this too much and each of them will stand their ground which I'm pleased about. I really am going to stop typing now because I can barely lift my arms over the keyboard. Tomorrow's entries will be back to normal :)

Day 37 - September 1, 2005
Mrs T and Cute T had some wonderful cuddles yesterday afternoon with Caryll. It was great to see Caryll, Ray and Jacqui (Caryll and Ray own the fabulous Schimmel Chilli Tequila and Jacqui who recently lost her beloved Schimmel Stormy Night, is going to be slave to our darling Bolero). I have a feeling though that the photo of Caryll about to walk out the door with Cute T in her handbag might worry Cheryl and Andrew :) Both babies are doing quite well and now that I am referring to Mr T as Mrs T, it is much easier and less confusing for me. Yesterday, Crunchie went into the big hooded litter tray for the first time ever and went to the toilet, when Mrs T thought she was missing out on something so followed him into the tray. The poor guy was trying to do his business while Mrs T was rolling around in the litter, thinking that it was a great new game.

Day 36 - August 31, 2005
There's no photos in any diary entries today because to be honest, I just don't have the time. It's really hectic here today so you will all just have to "imagine" what your babies look like. Mr T actually climbed up onto my work surface yesterday afternoon. The first of the babies to do so. As soon as she got up there, my heart just sank because now that she can do it, everyone else will learn how to do it, I won't be able to keep any paperwork on my desk, they will drink from my coffee cup and then it will just go on and on from there. I'm actually considering changing her name now to Mrs T because every single time that I type Mr T, I always use words like his & he and then have to go back and change them. I'm actually confusing myself now (which is quite easy to do). So I think that she will now be Mrs T. Cute T is as wonderful as ever and bouncing around all over the place, pouncing on his brothers and sisters. Fortunately they don't mind and are always more than ready to do battle with him.

Day 35 - August 30, 2005
Well our two remaining T's have now reached 5 weeks of age and so far, things are going along okay. I am happy with their progress at the moment and they are behaving like any other normal 5 week old kittens so it is rather positive at the moment. They are both such lovely babies, each with their own personalities. Cute T prefers the company of the other babies and loves to wrestle and play pouncing games on his unsuspecting litter mates. Mr T on the other hand, at this moment, when she is awake, she either finds the kitten toys throughout the room and has games with them by herself, or she just wants to climb my legs and be with me, purring away. Mind you, that is not to say that she doesn't interact well with the other babies because when she is in the mood, she does get involved with some of their games as well.
