Day 34 - August 29, 2005
It's rather difficult to get an entry done at the moment as I have Mr T, Whispa & Buttons all sound asleep on my lap. They didn't want to sleep with everyone else today and instead chose to climb my legs until they reached what they thought was a comfortable spot. It might be for them, but I'm getting cramps in my legs for not having moved them for an hour now in case I wake them up. As you can tell by the photos below, Cute T is forever looking for someone to wrestle with. His favourite partners for this are Crunchie & Buttons. They do all have such fun when they're playing together which is lovely. Their appetites seem to be increasing a bit now which I am pleased about however there is still no interest at all in dry kitten biscuits yet but I'm hoping they will start to like this in the next week or so. Mr T is getting rather spoilt at the moment as she is forever on my lap and every time I move around the house now, I carry her with me and she is more than happy to be with me where ever I am in the house. This is really lovely and we're forming a really close bond but I really must be careful that I don't spoil her, and I must keep reminding myself to put her on the floor with everyone else in case she forgets what her legs are actually for!

Day 33 - August 28, 2005
Well now that yesterdays visits are over, I am overjoyed that my initial instincts about Cheryl and Andrew were spot on. They are the perfect people for Tia's last born son to share his home with. He will also be lucky enough to have 2 other fur kids to play with as well which will be great. Like all of the babies, Cute T was so well behaved yesterday and was happy to have cuddles with Cheryl and Andrew. I am beginning to think now that the time has come to allow full house access for our babies when they are awake because as soon as they are running around now, nowhere at all is safe. I can't get in or out of the kitchen because they all follow me straight in and they do move much quicker than me. Mr T and Crunchie are the worst for this! They are always the first into the kitchen, with a convoy of the rest of the litters running along behind them and no sooner do I put one or two out, then more come in, I put them out and the original ones have run in. It is a no win situation. When I open the glass doors to get to the main part of the house, again the same thing happens. Sabre, our large dog was standing at the door yesterday when I went to go into the dining area, and as I've opened the door, Mr T has come running straight out, straight under Sabre's legs and she didn't even care that this looming black dog was standing above her! All the babies now also climb the scratch post that resides in the back room, and 2 of them were at the door leading into the cat run this morning, debating whether or not they should take that giant leap onto the first step. After a few minutes of deliberation, they decided perhaps it would be best to remain indoors. The photos are the same in both entries today and there's only 3 of them because it is a Sunday after all and I want to relax a little too :) In the 3rd photo however, you will see the destruction of the spider. The blue things are his legs and are no longer attached to his body. The black bits all over the front of the bed is the spider's body.

Day 32 - August 27, 2005
I do not know why but my photography is getting worse! I am sure someone must have changed the settings on the new camera or something. One of these days I'm going to make a point of reading the manual that came with it. Our babies are all doing really well (can't remember the last time I could say that and feel confident). Mr T and Cute T are bundles of energy and both of them have amazing purrs. They climb my legs until they are right up near my face, then as I stroke their heads, they snuggle in and just purr away. My Tia Maria always had a purr like a Ferrari engine and at a rough guess, these babies will be the same. It's a special day today for Cute T as Cheryl and Andrew are coming to see him. I had been looking for a very, very special home for Tia's last son and was fortunate enough, quite a while ago to have been contacted by Cheryl. I know that when the time comes for Cute T to leave here, that he is going to have an incredibly loving home with new parents who will simply dote on him and love him forever. I'm actually putting the diaries online very early today because I will have a house full of visitors and will not have any time at all later on.

Day 31 - August 26, 2005
As you can tell by the photos below (what few there are!), things are returning to normal slightly as Amaretto is continuing to spend her days and nights feeding and mothering the 6 babies again. This is such a relief for me. I just had to stop typing then and burst out laughing because I saw something move out of the corner of my eye and it was Cute T who had rolled out of bed and onto the floor and then he sat up, looking rather confused as if to say "how did that happen". I know exactly how it happened as everyone is feeding and in the fight for nipples, another baby has obviously given him a shove and sent him off the edge of the bed. Mind you, as I look over now, he has very sneakily gone in around the back, climbed up over the top of Amaretto, leant forward and shoved his head in amongst everyone else's'. Retto is being so incredibly patient with them again which is absolutely wonderful.

Day 30 - August 25, 2005
Just like the Chocolate Bars photos, I've managed to name the babies in the photos today. I was going to take individual photos but to be honest, I am just feeling so emotionally drained right now and I just didn't have the energy but at least you will get a rough idea of who is who now. I must admit that Mr T is a particular favourite of mine because she follows me around everywhere, she climbs up my legs, and this morning when I was sitting at the pc, she actually scaled my legs, then my body until she had made it all the way to the top of my shoulder and sat there looking around. As for Cute T, well he is just so very lovely and he always stands out of the pack. If they are all sitting or playing together in bed, I know straight away which one he is because there is just something about him. Just like the other babies, they both groom each other and play limb biting games.

Day 29 - August 24, 2005
Sadly, Iced T has passed away this morning which is just devastating. When I first came downstairs this morning, she was very lethargic and barely moving and within a few hours, she then went to Rainbow Bridge to be with her mum. To be honest, I think I am just in shock as yesterday, and even last night, she was bouncing around with everyone else. At midnight, she even ate from the plate along with everyone else so her deterioration was rapid. There really isn't anything else I can say. It's so heartbreaking and I really thought that she was going to be okay.

Day 28 - August 23, 2005

I actually find it rather overwhelming that our remaining T's have made it to the one month old stage. A week or so ago, I truly could not see this happening. I look at them now and think they are far more advanced that I would like them to be at this age, however, they also are not (in my opinion) eating as much as I want them too. Having said this, and remembering they are still feeding from Amaretto as well, they must be eating more than I think because you would not believe the amount of poos in the litter tray, on the floor and on their bed! I know there are 7 babies but there's still an awful lot of nuggets appearing everywhere. Iced T this morning ran into the kitchen, along with Crunchie, I took Crunchie out, went back for Iced T and caught her weeing on the kitchen floor! Did she wait until the door was opened just so she could do it there? The babies were given rabbit mince for the first time in their lives yesterday. Some of the babies really loved it, particularly Iced T & Mr T. Amaretto thought it was wonderful, and a couple turned their nose up at it. It is the first time I've ever actually fed rabbit to babies (or our adult cats for that matter) but on the whole, it was successful which I am pleased about. I now have to go and buy some more!

And just to add something here, if you haven't noticed, then Kim's kitten diary has a new update in there with photos of simply beautiful babies.
