Day 76 - October 10, 2005

There's not really much of an entry at all today and the 4 photos are the same in each entry. As we were out all day yesterday, today has been spent trying to integrate Toussaint into the household and trying to catch up with everything that I am now so far behind on.

Our T's registration paperwork arrived back today and I was pleased to see Midori's registered name was accepted. I chose to call her Schimmel Tia's Gift which I felt was very appropriate considering the circumstances surrounding her birth. Cute T has made sure that he has now taught every single baby in the house how to play, "Hide and Seek With The Washing Basket". It's a very simple game to play and merely involves hiding behind the washing basket, letting the other babies run in circles around the basket, while you keep running in front of them and then scoot off out the door and don't let them see you. That boy is a bundle of energy and I do hope that Cheryl and Andrew are prepared to be worn out by their new baby.

Day 75 - October 9, 2005

Today's entries are almost all the same and are extremely short with no photos. The reason for this is that Graham and I left at 4am this morning to drive to Cheshire to pick up our fabulous new Oriental Black Tortie breeding girl. As it has been such a long journey and the remainder of my day needs to be spent with bonding with our new girl, and making sure she is not stressed or unhappy. It is so very different for me to be on the "other side of things" and bringing home a new girl myself. All the advice and common sense that I'm forever telling our own new owners has quite literally gone from my mind.

Due to our busy day today, the babies did have a slight change in routine in the fact that they were all fed breakfast just before 4am prior to us leaving which they seemed most pleased about. Their next wet meal wasn't until our daughter came downstairs to feed the starving mobs.

Day 74 - October 8, 2005
Diary entries really are quite rushed today as we have had some of babies owners visiting us this morning and we have more arriving this afternoon which is really lovely. After their mad few hours this morning, the babies have actually slept in piles on top of each other for the last 2-3 hours, waking only briefly to have a few wrestling matches, and then going back to sleep. Cute T has been wandering around the house today like a lost sheep. I have no idea who he was looking for but on each journey, after making sure he explored in every possible corner, and not finding what he was looking for, he then went back to sleep. He's one of our most daring babies with respect that when he is eating the dry kitten biscuits, if any of our old babies come to eat as well such as Tia Lusso or Amarula, Cute T growls at them and then smacks them on the head. I've had lots of lovely cuddles with Mrs T today as she's been in a rather affectionate, clingy mood and when she has been awake, she's come looking for me to pick her up so she can purr away and snuggle.

Day 73 - October 7, 2005
There really is nothing in the way of photos today because while the babies were running around playing, I was doing litter trays etc. and by the time I had finished, everyone had gone back to sleep, apart from a few stragglers who were in the upstairs hallway still playing. I really think I should go back to taking photos late afternoon/evening to be included in the next day's entry because it does make life a lot easier. Cute T's "calming" period is now over and he's back to being his typical self which means running throughout the house, looking for victims to pounce on and scare the heck out of. He divides his play time between the upstairs and downstairs part of the house. Mrs T's favourite play area at the moment is in the bathroom where she can play chase games with the other babies around the washing basket.

Day 72 - October 6, 2005
Well I'm hoping that Cheryl will be pleased today as I managed to take some photos of Cute T. Admittedly, they aren't great photos, but any photos are better than none at all :) Just like Twix, Cute T is growing up to be a real little man now and surprisingly, I can no longer blame him for starting all the battles in the house. He still doesn't hesitate to get involved, but he has definitely been more calmer in the last few days or so. Whether or not this will last is anyone's guess though. Mrs T on the other hand is starting to become more mischievous but what really surprises me about her is the fact that she is now the largest baby in the house, apart from Twix. All of sudden she seems to have just grown in both stature and weight which is really lovely.

Day 71 - October 5, 2005

Last night we had visiting time again which the babies appreciated because the night before, they were kept in the downstairs part of the house due to the fact that we had to keep our younger stud cats separate from our girls. However, all 3 stud boys are now living outside so we could have "open house" again. Mrs T had some wonderful visits in our bedroom last night. She had climbed up onto the bed and stayed there for ages, curled up with us. Then she went and sat down next to Tia Lusso and Lusso groomed her all over and then snuggled in with her and put both her front paws around her which is so lovely. Cute T also came in, and out, and in, and out, and in, and out! He had no idea where he wanted to be. He was up on the bed, under the bed, running out the door chasing the other other babies.

There's very little in the way of photos today of the T's because every time I tried to take them as they were playing, the ran away. Particularly Cute T who is incredibly fast when he wants to be, so I do apologise about that Cheryl.

Day 70 - October 4, 2005 - 10 weeks old today!
10 weeks of age and already Cheryl is doing a countdown until Cute T is able to live with her :) I'm hoping that when he is with her, Andrew will be able to take much better photos of him than I have been able to lately. The problem is that the babies will not stand still long enough to have the pictures taken. They are too busy running around and creating havoc. Cute T still likes to sleep on the DVD unit and whenever I can't find him, that is the first place that I look. It's very rare that he isn't there. I never know where Mrs T is half the time when the babies are awake and playing but at the moment she is happiest when she's pouncing on the rest of the kitten family. I'm really happy with both babies progress for this stage in their lives. They both have really good appetites and love to run around and play. I look at them now and think that they are way to little to be leaving me in just 24 days time, although when I say they, I guess in reality I mean Cute T.
