Kitten Diaries
Tia Maria
March 2005
Tia Maria's 3rd Kitten Diary - March 2005 to july 2005
Day 90 - June 26, 2005
I must admit that I "cheated" for today's photos and the entries in both diaries are exactly the same but hey it's Sunday, a day of rest and all that :) Our Musketeers were very naughty during dinner time last night. We were just bringing things through from the kitchen and every time we opened one of them darted out, and as we caught that one and put him/her back, out ran yet another one. I didn't think we were ever going to get to eat dinner last night. Apart from that though, on the whole, all 3 of the Musketeers have been quite well behaved over the last day or two which is surprising.

Day 89 - June 25, 2005
As you can tell from the photos below, none of our Musketeers have been particularly active so far today. They have just chilled out all day long, and not all in the same place either. They were out in the cat run for a while this morning but then decided that it was a little chilly and they would much rather be indoors, piled up on top of everyone else, apart from Athos who was being a "Noddy No Friends" as he slept by himself on my chair. It's not really much of an entry today as I have a massive job to do which is thoroughly cleaning out the kitten room and moving things around. No one has been in the kitten room for weeks now and it has stayed how it is with the door closed. I'll be spending most of the afternoon in there sorting it out, even though we aren't expecting babies until approximately July 24, quite a bit needs to be done in there.

Day 88 - June 24, 2005
It's been such a hectic day today (for us humans) and the Musketeers have very kindly been very well behaved and have spent most of the day sleeping or playing with each other throughout the house. I did smile at Athos today because he was wandering around the house and didn't know where he wanted to sit. Then he spotted Sabre sleeping on her dog bed in the lounge room and decided that was a good place. Sure enough, as soon as he sat down, Sabre got off the bed because there was no way she was going to share her bed with Athos. As soon as she moved, he then sprawled out to make sure she couldn't get back on it. D'Artagnan has chilled out for the entire day, in actual fact, he's been a bit of a slug whereas Aramis and Athos were both quite active and running about the house this morning. As usual though, once about 1pm arrived, all the cats and the kittens settled down for long naps.

Day 87 - June 23, 2005
I really do not know why but diary entries seem to be later and later going online. Still, better late than never! This is the first day that the Musketeers have been really chilled out and laid back as opposed to tearing around the house. Of course the only problem with this is that for the main part of the day, they have been sitting on my lap, chewing on my clothes and refusing to give up MY seat. Normally, this is cute for a while but on days like today when I have to much to get through, it can be a tad annoying. D'Artagnan is a clever boy in the respect that he always knows exactly how to get around me if I tell him off for being naughty when he's on my lap. He simply rubs himself up against me, cuddles up in my lap, kisses my face and purrs like mad. It works every time and proves far more of a time waster than when he's being naughty. He really is impossible to resist. As I type this, I'm sitting right on the edge of my chair as all Three Musketeers are sleeping on it and ever time I remove them, they climb straight back up. I can't even sit on the other chair because Tia Maria is sprawled out on that and won't share it with anyone.

Day 86 - June 22, 2005
I'm sure that our new owners will be pleased to know that I've now had it confirmed by the GCCF that the kitten registrations have been received so now it's a case of sitting back and hoping (and praying) that they will be back in time for July 8th. Unfortunately, there aren't any photos today because as I was not doing anything yesterday, it's taken me most of today to catch up with emails and other bits and pieces. Not much has changed in the last couple of days with our Musketeers. Aramis continues to be her typical naughty self. Graham and our daughter are now both used to hearing me suddenly exclaiming "Ouch, stop it you horrid creature" or "I'm going to bite you back in a minute". This exclamations are made solely because at the time, Aramis is sitting on my lap, and playing with my clothes, or nipping me to try and get my attention as I type away. Naturally, I gave you the censored version of what I say ;) D'Artagnan and Athos have become quite close in the last couple of days but I do think the only reason for this is the fact that it's so warm and whereas the heat is making no difference to Aramis, the boys much prefer to find a cool spot and curl up together and go to sleep. They are also spending more time with their mum Tia Maria, which she's not particularly pleased about at the moment as she wants to be on her own and not "mothering" her children.

Day 85 - June 21, 2005
This is becoming a bit too frequent now, however both entries today are exactly the same and in actual fact, there really isn't an entry. By the time I came back from the dental clinic and the sedation wore off properly, it was way too late to do anything at all, let alone entries. I spent most of the day sitting on the lounge and did have the babies, off and on, for company which was really lovely. I don't think though that they could understand why their human mummy wasn't doing their litter trays or feeding them as this was naturally done by Graham today.

Day 84 - June 20, 2005 (12 weeks old today!)
As stated in the Planet's diary, I have no idea what tomorrow's entry will be like as I'm off to the sedation clinic again first thing in the morning to have more dental work done so chances are, an entry won't go online until much later tomorrow afternoon, depending on how "with it" I actually am. No one really wanted their photos taken at all today. D'Artagnan was too busy chilling out wit his mum, whereas Athos was trying to sleep in the cat cylinder. Aramis, very tyically was running about the lounge room creating havoc. I actually started this diary at about 11am and have have so many things crop up since, that I am getting absolutely nowhere with it so I'm going to finish it off here at 1450 or it will never get online (for what it's worth anyway)!
