Day 90 - March 15, 2004
I now know one of the hardest parts of breeding is having to let our babies go. Both Paige & Piper left me today to go home with their new owners and I feel like part of me has gone as well. Even though I know that Mark, Louise and Jade are wonderful people and will look after their new family members for the rest of their lives, it doesn't make it any easier at all. Mark was kind enough wait patiently as I held each baby, saying my goodbyes and crying. I truly did not want to let them go and it's so very difficult to remember that they are only with me "on loan" for 13-14 weeks. My one consolation is that they are going to a fabulous home together, where they will be spoilt rotten and loved forever, but even that thought doesn't help the way that I'm feeling right now. Those little girls are going to have such a wonderful life in their new home and I know they will be very happy, safe and content. It seemed so odd feeding lunch to only 6 babies and I kept looking for the other 2 before realising that they weren't here anymore. I've now done all I can for Paige & Piper and even though, within a few days, they will have totally forgotten me, I will never forget them.

Day 89 - March 14, 2004
It's rather a depressing day today as I realised that it's my last day and evening with Piper & Paige. I just know that after they have gone, I will no doubt walk through the house looking for them and wondering why I can only count 6 babies as opposed to 8. Let me assure you that I've been making the most of my remaining time with them by giving them lots of extra cuddles and kisses which they are enjoying. It will be interesting to see if the 2 mum's spend time searching for them, and calling out to them wondering where they are, or whether or not they will be content with the 6 babies they have left. When I look back and think about it, I find that the time has really flown by and I remember so vividly when they were tiny little newborns. I'm still amazed that they can go from those little creatures to the wonderful, loving, active babies that they are now.

Day 88 - March 13, 2004
This has been such a hectic weekend due to the fact that our kitchen is being re-done starting on Monday so the majority of our time has been spent moving everything out of the kitchen and trying to find a home for it for the next few days. It's for this reason that the babies have not been, and won't be in the downstairs part of the house for the time being. Having had workmen in the house before, I've learnt that cats/kittens are better kept out of harm's way. The girls don't seem to have grown at all in the last few weeks, but in truth, they have and I think I just don't see it. Other people tell me that have definitely grown. They all still eat like little piggies and still create quite a mess at meal times.

Day 87 - March 12, 2004
It's not a long entry today as there is a few bits and pieces going on here but you'll be happy to know that all your girls are doing really well. All 4 girls had a wonderful game of chase with Cacao last night for quite some time. It started when Cacao was lying on the floor in our bedroom and Paige came running into the room, jumped straight over Cacao, smacking her in the head as she did so. Cacao got up and then chased Paige out of the room, up the hallway and into the bathroom. Next thing you know, the other 3 have joined in and a minute later Cacao was seen running into the bedroom being chased by all 4 Charmed Ones. As soon as they reached the wall, everyone did an about turn and the 4 girls were running for their lives with Cacao right on their tails. I can tell you now that each and every single one of you new owners are going to have your hands full with this lot because they are very demanding little girls. Only 3 days now until I lose my darlings Piper & Paige :(

Day 86 - March 11, 2004
I am so very, very pleased that my Siamese babies are such GOOD babies in comparison with those very naughty Ori babies. For some reason, the Charmed Ones will take it in turns each day to see who can be the most horrid to the others and who will "rule the roost". It was Phoebe's turn yesterday. She had me amused for ages last night when I was in bed. She had clambered up the duvet and sat there just on the edge of the bed, calling the others to come and join her. Goes to show how thick those little ones can be at times :) because whenever one of them climbed up the bed, when they were almost at the top, Phoebe whacked them on the head over, and over until they fell off. So those silly little ones tried again, but didn't have the brains to go round the other side to get on, no, they just kept climbing straight up, getting bopped on the head (like those games you see at fairs) and falling back down. I lost count in the end as to who fell off the most but I think it was Piper. Even as I write this I'm giggling away to myself because it was so funny to watch. After that, both Phoebe and Paige decided it was time to attack poor little Calisto who was sitting there minding her own business. I had to rescue her when it got to the stage where Paige had Listo's tail in her mouth and Phoebe was trying to strangle her! Dear little Pru wanted nothing more than to keep getting into bed with me and curling up under the duvet while I stroked her. They are all such loving little babies and I'm really very lucky to have them for the time that I do.

Day 85 - March 10, 2004
There are no photos today sorry as I simply have not stopped working all day and haven't had the time to take any pics. You're actually lucky there's even a diary entry at all :) The Charmed Ones were really funny last night as we left our bedroom door open for a while and they kept popping in and out and clambering onto the bed to say hello and for cuddles. When I was watching TV, all I could see out of the corner of my eyes was little Siamese babies popping their heads through the door, carrying mice, and then running back out. Very distracting let me assure you. For the first time ever today, our door was left open and the babies had all climbed into our bed and hopped under the duvet to go to sleep for the day. We had no hope of getting them out of there at all because they were just too comfortable. Every time I went upstairs I had to be really careful as I had to keep gently searching under the duvet to find the babies. Time is really flying by now and my darlings Paige & Piper are only with me for another 5 days so I had better make the most of my time left with them.

Day 84 - March 9, 2004 (12 weeks old today!)
I was starting to get a bit concerned by 5pm yesterday as the Siamese babies were still sleeping and had in fact been asleep for a lot more hours than they would normally. I was really relieved when they woke up just before dinner, however, after a few hours of total chaos, I was beginning to wish they had stayed asleep! I finally got round to taking some photos this morning, I didn't take any yesterday because when I went upstairs to take some, the babies all wanted cuddles so instead of taking photos, I was sitting on the steps for about an hour with the Charmed Ones just cuddling them. They have been incredibly naughty and active this morning and Pru is in an extremely feisty mood. They had made quite a mess in the kitten room during the night but I was pleased to see that when I was hoovering the room and hallway, the babies sat in the bathroom and just watched, as opposed to running away from the hoover.
