Today, my darling Nancy Drew left me. I don't know what I'm going to do now that there is no one to bite my toes every morning. She is such a little character and even though she (along with Thames) have gone to a fantastic home with a perfect new mum and dad, Nicky and Karl, I really am missing her. It's always lovely to see Nicky and Karl and today was no exception at all. They are 2 of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and I know that Nancy Drew could not be in a better home. I do love it when 2 babies are homed together as it does make their leaving slightly less stressful and then when they go to their new home, they have someone with them that they know. Nancy Drew is a beautiful, happy, confident and mischievous child and I know she will bring a lot of love and joy to Nicky and Karl.

We only have one more Detective to leave now and that is Miss Marple who will be going home on November 2nd, so please check back then for our final entry in the Detectives kitten diary. Remembering of course that Sherlock is going nowhere and she has now become Amaro.

This is such a very sad day for me today as 3 of my children are leaving home. It had been such a manic weekend in the respect that I was up at 4am yesterday to go to a TICA cat show and I didn't get back home until that evening. This meant that I had to be up early this morning to get the cleaning done, do the litter trays, and finish off the last of the paperwork. Unfortunately there are no "Leaving Day" photos due to a mix up with camera batteries :(

Morse is the first of our Detectives to leave home and he truly well be sorely missed. The one saving grace with losing Morse is that I know he is going to a fantastic home with Bev and Duncan, and he will also have another Schimmel playmate to make friends with. Beverley is such a lovely, lovely lady and I know that Morse (who has now become Liquorice) will have a super home where he will be totally spoilt by his new family. I am sure that Shergar will not accept him straight away but that will change in time :) It was a fairly "rushed" visit for both Bev and myself which is a shame but sometimes these things can't be avoided. It was great to meet Julie even if Parsley didn't make a particularly good impression :) In typical Morse fashion he was having a snack while we were all up in the kitten room and showing his mum that yes, he will definitely eat her out of house and home once she moves in but fortunately Beverley is used to that with Shergar. Even though only 3 babies left today, our home does seem so very empty and it will be worse tomorrow when 2 more babies leave us. We are so grateful to Beverley for having one of our babies and for giving him such an amazing home.

Our next update will be tomorrow (although will not go online until Tuesday) as Nancy Drew will be leaving home.
