Day 90 - April 21, 2007
There really is very little entry at all due to the fact that we've been moving furniture round all day long and changing things in different rooms. The Racers were smart enough to stay out of the way bless them.
Day 89 - April 20, 2007
Today's photos are "sleepy photos" sorry, and there's not many of them, due to lack of time. At least I did manage individual head shots though, just in case some of our kitten families are still have problems distinguishing which Tabby Point is which :) Between cleaning, cooking for the cats/kittens, feeding the cats/kittens, running upstairs every half hour to check on, and sit with Cointreau (who is doing nothing by the way!), I just haven't had a lot of time today. For the Racers though, the day has gone on like any other.............breakfast between 7-8am, tear around upstairs, downstairs, and play chase in and out of the cat run, wander back upstairs at around 11:30am for another meal and then an incredibly longs snooze, wake up around 3pm and the fun and games start all over again.

Day 88 - April 19, 2007
Today the Racers have divided their time between playing in the cat run, tearing around upstairs, and a few of the more "persistent" children have been playing "let's wait till mum opens the cupboard door and then run in" <sigh>. It's so difficult to take photos of the Racers when they are awake and playing because they move so darn fast but the only other alternative is to take "sleepy" photos but they do tend to get a bit boring after a while, so the images below are the best of today's bad bunch :) I often look at our babies nowadays and think that they are way too little to be leaving us so soon, yet on the other hand I think how independent our children all are now. They have almost reached that "grown up" kitten stage in that they are quite self sufficient now and they don't even mind whether or not there mum is in the same area that they are playing in.

Day 87 - April 18, 2007
Many apologies for skipping 2 kitten diary entries but as you can imagine, the closer the time draws near for our babies to leave, the busier we actually are and of course Cointreau was due to give birth yesterday but so far she is doing nothing at all so we are playing the waiting game. I am delighted to say that the Racers are doing extremely well and the home is going to seem so very quiet without them. Dessie will be the first of our babies to go as she is leaving us next week so I guess I'd best start hoping that the registration papers will be back before then :) One other bit of news that we are thrilled about is that Red Rum will be sharing her home with the lovely Wendy, who has Abingdon. We are over the moon to know that Red Rum will be going to such a fantastic home and are positive she will be great company for Abingdon and will hopefully put him in his place. Shergar is the worst offender when it comes to climbing on the top of the stair banister. I do not know he he gets up there, but I get such a fright every time I see him on it and naturally I remove him straight away. Due to yet more DIY yesterday, the Racers weren't allowed downstairs unfortunately, although they have made up for it today because while I was doing all the usual cleaning and litter trays this morning, the Racers were all out in the cat run, playing chase, climbing, and generally having the time of their lives. Quite naturally, by the time I finished the daily chores, they had taken themselves back upstairs to bed which means you are stuck with some rather boring "sleepy" photos I'm afraid.

Day 86 - April 17, 2007

Day 84 - April 15, 2007
As you can see by the photos below, not only are things back to normal regarding the camera, but all our Racers have finally discovered the cat run in a big way. It was quite funny this morning because the babies trotted downstairs as per usual, Lucy went out into the cat run and the Racers just played around the house and did there own thing. Suddenly, Lucy came in from out of the cat run, walked past me, went upstairs to (I presume) wake up her children. Then 5 minutes later I looked in disbelief as Lucy walked back past me with all 6 Racers in tow and she led them in a procession onto the chair, onto the windowsill and out into the cat run. It made me think back to when you used to see mother ducks leading their babies to water for the first time and it was really very sweet. For whatever reason, Tia Lusso decided that today was the day her babies should be out enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. Now this all happened at around 10am, it's now 121;l................................................6 and 4 of the Racers are still out in the cat run, while the remaining2 are creating havoc in my room. Unfortunately, Lucy also decided that today would be the day she comes back into call........................again! It's hard to believe our children are 12 weeks old already and in a couple of weeks' time, they will be leaving me to live with their new families, and already arrangements are being made as to which baby is leaving on which day. As I type this entry, I had Red Rum sitting on my lap, having a bit of a snooze which I'm really enjoying, especially now that she has stopped trying to walk on the keyboard and "help" me type :)
