As you are aware, this diary entry is now partially closed because our Tails of Hans Christian Anderson have reached 13 weeks of age. So updates are only being done now if something actually happens concerning the 4 babies. Yesterday, Little Tuk proved herself to be a typical, arrogant, Oriental Black and when her new mum, Coral, visited her, she had no intentions of allowing herself to be stroked or cuddled. She really is a right little madam, there is no doubt about that at all. Even when her new mum explained to Little Tuk that she did love her and that she would be feeding her etc. the response from Little Tuk was exactly the same. All 4 babies are doing quite well, and Snow Queen also had a visit very recently from her new mum, Viv. Fortunately, Snow Queen was much more amenable to being stroked. The babies do seem to be growing at a rapid rate and unfortunately for me, arrangements have now started being made for the Tails of Hans Christian Anderson to leave us, something that we are trying not to think about.

Our Tails of Hans Christian Anderson were such very good children when it came to the car journey and the vets. None of them looked frightened, and there wasn't a single cry from any of the babies. Each of them was happy to be examined prior to be vaccinated and I had been expecting difficulties with Little Tuk who can be quite a little madam when she is in the mood, but she surprised me by staying very still during her check up and also while the needle went in. Not only that, she didn't even glare at me, not once throughout the whole procedure. Go figure! I am really relieved that this is all over now because at 13 weeks of age, the babies are obviously 5 weeks late in having their first vaccination, which means that until this point, they have been relying on their own natural immune system to fight off bacteria and germs etc. Their next vaccination appointment has been booked for approximately 3 weeks' time but I don't really want to tell them that they have to go through today's procedure once more. As previously mentioned, there won't be any further updates for a while now in this kitten diary. If the babies have any "special days" such as their families visiting, or when the time comes for their 2nd jab, then on those days I will put an entry in the diary.

There are no entries for today sorry as we have had quite a bit going on and things seem to be all over the place at the moment.
