Day 41 - November 27, 2007
It's was Ryan's special day today because he had a visit from his new mum and dad, Linz and Martin. Even though Linz decided a little while ago that Ryan would be living with her, this was the first chance she has had to visit him. It was so lovely to see Linz and Martin again as I hadn't seen Linz since she was last here when she took Liquorice (now Tifa) back home. As you can imagine we had a lovely chat about numous things, most of all were cat related as per normal :) Our Indians were very well behaved and not once did Ryan give his new parents any indication of what a little bugger he really can be. In fact, he was pretty much angelic during their entire visit. Unlike his mother who decided that she would wait until they arrived before using her litter tray. It wasn't so bad for Linz and I, however poor Martin was seated right next to the tray! Have you ever noticed that even when you remove the offending poo straight away that some odours just linger for hours afterwards? Linz managed to take what was hopefully some very nice photos while she was here and we are thrilled to bits that Ryan will be living with Linz, Martin, Lulu and Tifa and we just hope that when the time comes, he will prove himself equally as good as his father, both on the show bench and as Linz's first stud cat.
Day 40 - November 26, 2007

After a manic few days of rearranging our home and the way we live, and converting one of the kitten rooms to "indoor stud accommodation", I am finally getting diaries back on track. Although this is going to be a manic week as we have a few babies leaving us from Friday onwards so I will be up to my eyeballs in paperwork so don't expect great diary entries this week. By the end of this coming weekend, I'll be down to just 2 kitten diaries so life may become a tad easier.

I am so delighted with our Indians' progress and they are very delighted with their new accommodation :) Drambuie and her babies moved into the main kitten room yesterday morning and they have been having the time of their lives in there. I think that next Monday will be the day when the door will be permanently kept open and the Indians can roam about the home wherever they want. It will be interesting to see we last that long though as Drambuie opens the door by herself anyway and has been doing this since yesterday afternoon.

Day 36 - November 22, 2007

I would ask you all to bear with me please as there will be no kitten diary entries until Sunday or Monday at the earliest. The reason for this is that due to situations with our inside boys, we have now had to rethink the way we do things. As such, we are currently in the process of rearranging our entire home and the way we have things structured here. These changes will be much better for all of our cats, and our Rottweiler, Jag.

As such, the next few days are going to be very busy making some huge changes and this has to take a priority over the kitten diaries. I know this is disappointing for some of our kitten families but once in a while, the diaries have to take a back step to more important matters. I will say that our babies are all doing incredibly well with no worries at all and hopefully by Sunday or Monday we will be back to normal so please check back then.

Day 35 - November 21, 2007
I wanted to share our Indians' 5 week weights with you however that will have to wait until tomorrow's diary entry. Our Indians have their weigh in session of an evening so I won't actually know until tonight what their weights are. As they are now 5 weeks of age, I thought it's time they tried a bit of home cooking so I poached some white fish for them with a little butter, and I then mixed some Hi Life kitten pouches and a foil tray of the Tesco Kitten pate and took it upstairs to them for lunch. Ryan obviously is not a big fish eater because for the first time ever, he turned away from the food whereas our other 4 Indians were all very keen and loved it. Ryan obviously has very little taste bless him. At 5 weeks of age, I am pleased with our Cleveland Indians, and whilst they are all growing at different levels, all 5 of them are doing exceptionally well, even little Casey which will be evident when I share the weights with you all tomorrow.
