Day 110 - January 5, 2007
I managed to take some individual photos today of our Gamblers and you will notice that there are extra photos of Roulette. There are a couple of reasons for that, the first being is that I know it will make Mummy Val's day when she sees these photos and the 2nd reason is that Roulette loves to play it up for the camera and she is an extremely photogenic girl. Our Gamblers have spent the majority of the day with their latest adopted mum, Sambuca (who is in fact their Aunty) and Sami has been a most obliging mum by grooming her children and letting them suckle from her as much as they like. It really is quite sweet to watch and think we will have a few sad mum's in the home when the babies all leave. One small bit of news is that Two Up now has a new pet name. She has now become "Nocello" and is part of our own feline family. At some point in time I will get around to adding her to our web site but to be honest, I'm not sure where to put her. If she were to continue growing the way she is and ends up like the rest of her family, then we would add her to the queens page, but if problems develop over the next few weeks etc, she would be added to our neuters page so I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to put her for the time being. Our Gamblers' new families have now all finalised arrangements with us as to when their children will be leaving which is rather sad, and Graham actually said to me last night that it's going to be really strange not having all the babies in the home. He's right because they are just part of our family now and I do not know what I'm going to do once they do go. Mind you, we have a few things that we would like to finally get finished around the home, things we haven't done since we moved in, so I guess that will keep me busy until Tia Lusso's babies are born in approximately 3 weeks' time.

Day 109 - January 4, 2007

First, let me start off by sharing some nice news with you, and that is Blackjack now has a wonderful home lined up. Remember how I said that he had picked up so well and had even surpassed Baccarat in height that I felt he would be able to have a home of his own after all? Well, I couldn't ask for a better home than this one as he is going to be living with his sister, Baccarat, along with their new human family, Lynda, Andrew, and Robin, as well as their current fur child, Morse. I'm really delighted about this because the majority of breeders always prefer to home 2 kittens to the same family whenever it might be possible. Whether or not though, their new family will be prepared for 2 Black hooligans tearing throughout their home and creating havoc will be interesting though. Our Gamblers haven't been too naughty today which has been a blessing really. When there are 11 kittens running about the home, whenever you get a relatively "quiet" day, it's always rather nice. So long as they don't get too quiet because that's when I start to worry.

I will try and take some photos later today, as I've not had a chance at all so far and I know some of you are waiting on news from Rodney so I wanted to get the entry online.

Day 108 - January 3, 2007
Our Gamblers are hooligans I'm afraid, in the respect that when they are not sleeping, nothing is sacred at all. There is no point telling any of them that something is mine because they insist on taking it and it is theirs. I looked at them this morning when they were running about after breakfast and climbing on everything and even now, I am still amazed at the progress this litter has made considering everything that has gone on. Even Two Up is doing remarkably well and is definitely growing, although obviously she is still smaller than her brothers and sisters. As I type this, I have my baby Roulette on my lap, she has just come running in from the cat run where she had been doing goodness knows what really. She is a bundle of energy that girl, but then, they all are. Our home is like Pitt Street in Sydney when they are all playing and nowhere is safe, not upstairs, nor downstairs, apart from Graham's room as he has Frangelico, Cacao and Sage in there. They have lost their playmate, Ashanti, of an evening which they are not happy about as they love to play with him, however, we can't have him with them unsupervised any more because he is now so incredibly large. He will be 6 months old on the 19th, and already he is the size of most of our adult girls, and he can play really rough and after the incident with Rodney, we don't want to take any chances at all. He is with them off and on during the day, but we are all around then and can ensure no harm is done.

Day 107 - January 2, 2007
There is no entry today. Please see the Trotters' entry as to why. I have taken photos though and depending on the vet's outcome, I will put them online much later this afternoon or after dinner.

Day 106 - January 1, 2007
I think our Gamblers are fully aware that they time is drawing nearer for them to leave me because over the past few days they have all become even more loving than they normally are. They are such sweethearts but they are at that stage now where they are constantly "helping" mummy with everything I do so chores that should take a short amount of time, are taking so much longer. Roulette is the biggest problem in the respect that she is adamant when she is all "growed up" (her words, not mine), she is going to work on a computer. I don't know what I'm going to do when Roulette leaves as I'll have no more computer buddies. Some of our Gamblers are at long last eating the kitten biscuits and Blackjack was the first to start this. Two Up will not touch them at all but everyone else is now starting to gain an interest in them which I am relieved about.
