Day 90 - September 16
When we opened the bedroom door this morning, there was an army or babies all outside the door as as soon as it was fully opened they all just piled into the bedroom. I'm sure that the minute they hear my alarm go off they run to the door and wait until we open it. There was no way we could get them all out so we left them to it and sure enough within minutes they had all come downstairs, hoping they were going to get breakfast. Little did they know that their breakfast meal has now ceased to exist and they only get one wet meal a day which is their evening meal. I felt really cruel listening to their little voices asking me for food, telling me they were starving but I had to be firm with them. Within about 10 minutes of hanging around, begging for food, it finally dawned on them that they may as well go and eat the dry kitten biscuits. That seem to satisfy their hunger and about half an hour later they all went back to sleep. They didn't actually wake up again until around 11.30 and then it was "play time" so I opened up the door to the back room so they could mingle with the Gumnuts and go out into the cat run if they wanted. After a quick walk in the cat run, they decided it was much warmer in the house. Harry and Hermione decided to join the Gumnuts for a nap while Ron, McGonagall and Hooch played "Wrestle with Sambuca" and "Chase Drambuie". All in all though, it was a fairly normal day for the Gumnuts and I haven't had the heart to sit down and explain to them that they will soon be leaving me. Normally I'd have had this chat with them at the beginning of the week but just can't bring myself to do it :(

Day 89 - September 15
Well the Potters have had a very busy day today in the respect that when they haven't been sleeping, they have been running around, chasing each other, playing very rough, getting into a lot of mischief and generally being typical Siamese & Orientals. Just like yesterday, Cacao still insisted on dragging the bedding out of Hermione's carrier. I do hope that this won't go on for the next few weeks. The idea was that the carrier bedding has Phillipa's scent on it so that Hermione can used to the new smells prior to going to her new home, however, the bedding is now getting rather filthy due to Cacao dragging it about that it really is desperate for a wash but then I might lose the smell so that will defeat the purpose. I did get some photos of the Potters playing today but they didn't turn out very well at all I'm afraid. The babies actually slept for quite a few hours from lunch time onwards today which is no surprise at all though as they have been real terrors all morning. I am really and truly going to miss these babies and the house will be like a tomb once they've left me. I am actually trying not to think about it at all but Friday is really coming around way too quickly for my liking.

Day 88 - September 14
Our Potters have really enjoyed their day today because I had the back room door open so they could come into the back room, visit the Gumnuts, (and eat their food!) and go out into the cat run which they all did. I am sure they really appreciated it because they haven't been out in the cat run for a little while due to the Gumnuts being in the back room. I thought I was missing little McGonagall earlier, only to find that hubby has her stuffed down his jumper where she has spent most of the day sleeping. Again last night we had the babies in the bedroom for cuddles and games which was lovely, until it was time to put them out and none of them wanted to leave the bedroom. As soon as I put some out, others came straight back in. I finally got around to finishing printing off all the Potter's paperwork and just have to organise it all now. To be honest, I have absolutely no motivation to get it done because each morning when I wake up, the first thing that springs to mind is how many more days I have left with them :( Cacao, along with Tia Maria, was finally "released" today for the first time in over a week (I think). Tia, however, was put back in the kitten room a few hours later but Cacao was left out to enjoy being back in general population. Within minutes of being out, the Potters were all over her, trying to suckle, not that Cacao has any milk now. Phillipa will be unhappy to hear that Cacao left the Potters with nowhere to sleep off and on throughout the day because Cacao took a liking to the bedding inside Hermione's carrier and she took it out of the carrier, carried it into the dining room and put it on the floor near the radiator!!! Three times I put the bedding back in the carrier and three times, Cacao took it back out.

Day 87 - September 13
Last night, as Tia Maria and Cacao were in the kitten room, the downstairs door was left open which meant that during the evening, the Potters, Sambuca and Drambuie had the run of the house. Big mistake!!! Everytime we opened the bedroom door to come in or out, the Potters were in like a shot. Those babies are just super fast and can't be stopped. We gave up in the end, and just left the door open and let them in with us for a little while. The babies had a great time and Graham kept sneaking them under the duvet with him in the hopes that I wouldn't notice. How dumb does he think I am! They all had some wonderful games, playing chase on the bed, and Sambuca and Hermione and Ron has very funny games of stalking each other. Hermione would wait until Sambuca wasn't looking and she would stalk her, and then pounce on Sami's head. So Sami would roll Hermione over, sit on her, and then run away to start all over again. Ron joined in a few minutes later and then it was a free for all. It was so funny to watch, much better than night time TV.

Day 86 - September 12
Our Potters, particularly Hermione, had some cuddles today with our friend Phillipa (also Hermione's owner) and at least I now have at least one kitten owner who can prove that the Potter's still exist, despite the lack of photos! The babies really seem to have grown up very fast these last few days and I'm going to be very sad to see them go this weekend. Graham in particular, has become very fond of McGonagall, who has suddenly decided that Graham is her best friend and spends a lot of her time sitting on his lap. Since the Potters have been denied access to the back room (because the Gumnuts are in there), they have really got to know Graham incredibly well and it's not unusual to see the 3 Siamese babies sitting on his chair behind him, McGonagall on his lap and Madam Hooch on his shoulder. They all still wrestle on the dining table, chase each other up and down the stairs and every evening, they sleep in the cat carrier that Phillipa bought for Hermione.

Day 85 - September 11, 2004
As I stated in the Gumnut's diary entry, there is actually very little to say about today as I wasn't here for a lot of the day because we went to watch QPR who, I might add, actually beat Plymouth :)

Day 84 - September 10, 2004 (12 weeks old!)
My babies are now 12 weeks old and the dreaded time has come where I have them for just one more week (apart from Hermione who will be here a few weeks longer) and already arrangements are in place for our babies to be collected in a week's time :( The Potters all had their 2nd vaccinations this morning and have been a little sleepier than usual as a result but that's not uncommon. Mind you, with all the tearing around they had been doing since 7am, they should have been very tired anyway as they have been running around the house, up and down the stairs like lunatics. They all behaved very well for the vaccinations and I was proud of them. This morning, when I was collecting the washing from the bedroom, I had to go in and out of the bedroom a grand total of 7 times thanks to Ron, Harry and Hermione who had decided that running into the bedroom was the game for the day. I brought the washing out, went to close the door but was too late as Harry had run straight in. So I went back in the room, closed the door behind me so no one else could get in, finally got Harry out from under the bed, opened the door, put him out, tried to close the door and Hermione got in before I could shut it. Again I went back into the room, caught up with Hermione who was playing in the clothes shelf, picked her up, carried her out, tried to close the door, however Ron and Harry both darted in. Hermione was put on the floor, while I went back in yet again, managed to catch both boys very quickly, brought them out, opened the door slightly to see Hermione sitting on the other side just waiting for her opportunity. No surprise that she got back in as I couldn't keep hold of Ron and Harry, and the door, as well as trying to keep Hermione out. Eventually, I finally managed to get out of the bedroom without anyone getting in, after I had been in and out another few times. The thing is of course, that I couldn't possibly be annoyed with them because as soon as I picked any of them up to carry them out of the room, they snuggled into my shoulder and started purring like mad which is always so very sweet.
