Day 76 - March 15, 2004
Again, there are no pics of our Ori's, however, I can assure you they are all still here and truly they are all fine. The only photos for today are of Paige & Piper in the Siamese diary as today they left me to live with their new owner. It's also not much of an entry because I'm so sad at losing 2 of my girls that I don't really feel like writing anything at all. The Little Warriors have let me know in no uncertain terms that they are not happy about being banned to the kitten room for the day due to the work being done in the house. Every time I've gone in there they have been clambering around the door wanting to get out and telling me all about it. Gabby and Calisto are definitely the worst. At least Xena and Hera will resign themselves to the fact that they are currently "imprisoned" and will put up with it. They were finally let out at about 4pm after the workman had left and you could almost see the relief on their faces, particularly Gabby's, as they all piled out of the room, muttering under their breath I might add! I am going to make a concerted effort tonight to get a few photos to put up tomorrow just to prove that they are still here.

Day 75 - March 14, 2004
At the moment, the house is just full of kitchen stuff throughout the whole of the downstairs. So needless to say, the babies are all upstairs where it's much safer. The Little Warriors have now decided that the bathroom is another one of their favourite places to sleep so they are all in there at the moment. At least they no longer make any mess on the bath mats, for which I rather grateful. They have even taken their little mice in there with them. It's a rather quiet day today for the girls and although they spent a few hours this morning tearing around like lunatics, they are now sound asleep and have been from quite some time. They still can't make it into the bath tub yet, although both Xena and Gabby have now figured out that if they jump on top of the little bin, they are able to look down into the bath which is what they have been doing. So far though, neither of them have made an attempt to jump in. Gabby also has an interest in the basin in the bathroom, because when she sits on the little bin, she keeps trying to climb up a towel so she can reach the basin. Naturally, all she does is pull the towel of the rail and fall off but it doesn't stop her from trying again.

Day 74 - March 13, 2004
If you've read the Siamese diary, you'll be aware that it's rather busy here at the moment which is leaving very little time for diaries. Also, I have lost all of yesterday's pics of our Little Warriors. I am sure I downloaded from the camera before I deleted them off the camera but I can't find them. Hopefully they will turn up somewhere on my system and can be added a bit later. The girls are doing really well at the moment and have just enjoyed a meal of sardines which they wasted no time in gulping down. At the moment they are having 4 meals a day, although if I think they are looking hungry I will still give them an extra meal. It was very sweet to see Xena grooming them all after they had eaten. They are still creating havoc when they're awake and all you can hear are thumps from upstairs once they are all playing.

Day 73 - March 12, 2004
As mentioned in the Siamese diary, it's not a big entry as there are things happening here today off and on so I don't have a great deal of time. I am pleased to say that our little darlings did not do any little wees on the bed for which I was rather grateful. They did however, have some lovely cuddles with us in the bed again. The only problem with this is that Gabby Girl has an incredibly loud purr and all you can hear is her purring non stop. Time to turn the TV up! Xena and Gabby are a bit annoyed at the Siamese because as you know, our Charmed Ones all have a habit of running up the hall and jumping into the bath tub. Well the Ori's haven't figured out how to do that yet (they're a bit slow sometimes), so the Siamese get in the bath, while the Ori''s sit on the floor trying to figure out how they did it and just what mysteries lie in there. All 4 girls won't sleep in the Kitten Room now if they are upstairs during the day. They have realised that the hot pipes run under a certain part of the hallway so every time they are up there, they sleep all together on top of each other in the corner. Goes to show that maybe they aren't so slow after all as the Charmed Ones haven't figured that one out yet!

Day 72 - March 11, 2004
Bloody kittens! Bloody, bloody, bloody, naughty, work creating little brat kittens! (I do love them really). That is all I can say after last night. This is where you find out just what breeders do of an evening when normal people are sitting down watching TV. Just before we had our dinner, I went and checked upstairs on all the babies who were just starting to wake up. We had dinner and I then spent 20 minutes preparing the babies food. I took the food upstairs, called all 8 little ones who came running as if they hadn't been fed in their lives, put both mum's in the Kitten Room to prevent them from eating the little ones food. I then went downstairs and prepared food for the "big cats" in the house and fed them. After that I went upstairs, brought all the litter trays down, and spent half an hour emptying and washing and refilling every tray in the house. I then did a "bowl" check both upstairs and downstairs to make sure every food bowl was full with dry food and every water bowl was replenished. I then went back upstairs to collect the empty plate from the kittens, brought it downstairs and washed it up along with the big cat's plate. Next I checked the trays again to make sure no one had been in there, sure enough they had so then it was scooping time. After that the big cats were all said good night to downstairs, the light was turned off and the door was locked. Then I went upstairs to sweep out the kitten room to make sure it was clean overnight. Once all this had been done, I finally hopped into bed, only to get out less than a minute later because I had sat straight in a little pile of cat wee!!!!! So we then got out of bed and spent the next 20 minutes changing the entire bed, sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers etc. Then another half hour having a shower. I was not a happy bunny!! So now you know what our lives are like when there are babies in the house. In case any of you are wondering who the culprit was, it was my little Calisto who obviously felt the need for revenge after I had taken her to the vets that morning! I have had the most wonderful cuddles today with both Gabby Girl and Xena. As it's the first time they have been downstairs in a few days because of everything that had been going on, they keep coming up to me and crying to get up on my lap or shoulder. Hera (who I really need to start calling Sambuca) is just a mad little cat. Both she and Calisto (again, I must get into the habit of calling her Drambuie now) have very similar personalities. Both are troublemakers and both are very loud, and very naughty. I must be truly mad!

Day 71 - March 10, 2004
Calisto had her follow-up vet appointment today for a further injection and I'm pleased to say that it looks like all will be well. She seems to definitely be on the mend and this was proven when it came to 9:10am and I was frantically looking for her to take her to the vets and after searching every room thinking someone had catnapped her, I finally found her.................standing on the top frame of our four poster bed!! She had climbed the bed curtains, got to the top and thought it was great fun. I nearly had a coronary. The Little Warriors had an unexpected luxury of having access to our bedroom today and have quite literally spent the majority of their day in our bed asleep under the duvet! They wouldn't even get out of bed for lunch so they didn't actually eat lunch until 4pm today. Sorry about the lack of photo's for today's entry but it's been a really hectic day and I haven't had the time to take any. I'll try and make up for this tomorrow though.

Day 70 - March 9, 2004 (10 weeks old today!)
Well we aren't out of the woods yet but things are starting to look up for Calisto. She started playing for the first time in a couple of days last night at 8pm and I was so relieved. I watched her sticking her paws through the banister to smack Hera on the head over and over again. She also went back for 2nd helpings of supper last night so it's a good sign. She's also being very attention seeking with me as well which she wasn't doing a couple of days ago. The Little Warriors, just like the Siamese, have been creating havoc this morning and running around like lunatics! They are all finally sound asleep now though so it is rather peaceful here. They've all been in very affectionate moods as well during the last 24 hours and whenever I am near them, I get bombarded by the Ori's for cuddles which is really lovely. As you can see, I finally managed to take some photos for you at long last.
