This is such a very sad day for me today as 3 of my children are leaving home. It had been such a manic weekend in the respect that I was up at 4am yesterday to go to a TICA cat show and I didn't get back home until that evening. This meant that I had to be up early this morning to get the cleaning done, do the litter trays, and finish off the last of the paperwork. Unfortunately there are no "Leaving Day" photos due to a mix up with camera batteries :(

Today, 2 of our Nuts have left home and they are Cashew and Pecan. I am really going to miss these 2 boys, not only because they have now become part of our family, but also because they are such loving, mischievous children. There have been times when Pecan in particularly does make me sigh bless him, but for both boy's naughty ways, they are just total darlings and already the home is feeling empty now that they are gone. Even though they are brothers, they both have different aspects of their personalities. Cashew is an extremely stubborn young man, in the way that only Blacks can be stubborn, whereas Pecan can be a total nightmare, like his father, in that he really does try your patience. Fortunately, Cashew's wonderful new family, Elaine and Stuart, as well as Pecan's lovely family, Marcelle and Jim, are both very experienced cat families and I'm sure that in time, both boys will settle in quite well. Cashew will have a lovely new playmate in the form of Charma who is one of Elaine and Stuart's fur children, and even though Charma is older, I am sure the boys will soon become best of friends. It will be more interesting for Pecan in the respect he will be living with his grandfather, Bailey, who I know extremely well and all I can say is heaven help Marcelle and Jim. I do not know what Pecan will make of Moog who is Marcelle and Jim's gorgeous Persian girl as he's never met anything "fluffy" before so introductions in Marcelle's home tonight will be fun and games for all concerned.

We are so incredibly lucky to have such amazing homes for our boys and I know at the time of writing this Elaine and Stuart will still be traveling as they have a very long journey ahead of them. It is every breeders' dream to find the perfect home for their children and we have found them for Pecan and Cashew, there are no doubts about it. We will be fortunate enough to see Pecan at some shows hopefully next year which will be great.

When Pecan left home, his Aunty Jacqueline took some photos of him while she was here and the photos below are the ones that Jacqui took. Thanks Jacqui :)
