We are 9 weeks old now!

Day 60 - October 24, 2007

Kitten diaries..........................where to begin? Okay, yes I am extremely far behind and am missing more entries than I'm putting online lately. It is just manic here. As you are aware we have recently had a new litter born into the home. They are a week old today and I have been doing 2 hourly feeding of the smallest baby for the past 5 days or so. As you can imagine, it is exhausting. We also have Thames, the Nuts, and the Detectives all leaving us starting from this Sunday. This means that I am totally surrounded in paperwork, amongst other things, trying to prepare for our babies who are going. There are other things as well all of which are taking up a tremendous amount of my time at the moment. As for photos, well, I did take some today, but they are awful :( Our Chefs and Ray J's are just so darn fast that I struggle to take a decent photo of them unless they are sound asleep so today's images are actually the best of what was a particularly bad set of photos.

What can I say about our Ray J's? They are still incredibly adorable and all 3 can be extremely loving but.............................they are such little buggers, they really are. There are days when I do despair of them as they are so very typical of the tabby pattern kittens in that they can be very mischievous. They also have far more energy than they should have! There mothers have totally given up on them and no longer try to keep them under control and I don't blame them. I sometimes look at Tia Lusso, Sambuca, and Amaretto as they sit away from their children with resigned looks on their faces as they watch them.

Day 56 - October 20, 2007

Yes, we did actually manage to get photos today at long last, just in case some of you have forgotten what your babies look like. I can't believe that the kids are 8 weeks old already and that in a fortnight's time they will be going off for their first set of vaccinations. All 3 of our babies really are proper little kittens now and their features are really starting to develop now. They are gorgeous children and incredibly funny to watch, especially while they are playing. They are also all incredibly loving and none of them object to having tummy tickles on a regular basis.
