Day 89 - November 22, 2007

I would ask you all to bear with me please as there will be no kitten diary entries until Sunday or Monday at the earliest. The reason for this is that due to situations with our inside boys, we have now had to rethink the way we do things. As such, we are currently in the process of rearranging our entire home and the way we have things structured here. These changes will be much better for all of our cats, and our Rottweiler, Jag.

As such, the next few days are going to be very busy making some huge changes and this has to take a priority over the kitten diaries. I know this is disappointing for some of our kitten families but once in a while, the diaries have to take a back step to more important matters. I will say that our babies are all doing incredibly well with no worries at all and hopefully by Sunday or Monday we will be back to normal so please check back then.

Day 88 - November 21, 2007
Poor Barry is not having a good day :( This morning, as I was going upstairs with 1 huge tray of food, 1 smaller tray, and 1 bowl of food (all for the kittens/mum's breakfast), Jonesy & Gary got under my feet and the smallest bowl of food upended and half of it went straight onto Barry's head. I cleaned her up, she was as good as new and perfectly happy, but I don't think she could understand why the other babies had such an interest in her all of a sudden. Then, a couple of hours after breakfast, I was hoovering the floors, and this was not my fault I swear, I moved the chair so I could hoover under the legs and it was at that moment that I was moving the chair that Barry chose to spring from the work surface to the chair. Obviously she missed as the chair wasn't where it should have been and she fell flat on her little face on the floor, narrowly missing smacking her head on the scratch post as she fell. I am sure that Ray and Caryll will not be impressed when they read this entry and may want to come and take her off my hands tonight where she will be safe with them :)

Day 87 - November 20, 2007
It's been one of those days today so the Chefs and the Ray J's kitten diaries are both the same and are not actually even about the babies for that matter! I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with my efforts of photographing the Chefs/Ray J's at the moment, although what happened today wasn't really my fault. I took photos of the younger 2 litters, came downstairs and downloaded those, went back upstairs, took photos of the Chefs and the Ray J's, but when I came back downstairs the lead to the camera wasn't working. It all got a bit technical for me so I handed it over to Graham who proceeded to tell me I had ruined it <sigh>. We can now retrieve any future photos that we take without using the lead but unfortunately I lost what I took today. I may take the camera upstairs with me later tonight to try and get some semi decent photos for tomorrow's diary entries. Registrations still have not come back yet, but we do have 2 weeks leeway so I'm hoping they will arrive soon. Ironically enough, this morning, I received the registration certificates for the previous babies who have since left us.

Day 86 - November 19, 2007

Don't ask what happened to kitten diaries over the weekend. It's just been incredibly hectic. On Saturday we had a kitten family visiting, on Sunday we were out for the day, and as well as all that, we have also been doing some supervised honeymoons for a couple of ladies so it has been non stop. Even today I'm struggling to catch up with everything but I am trying to get the diaries back on track, although the entries are not very long today.

It was lovely to see Liz and her family again when they visited their 2 babies, Jonesy and Gary on Saturday and I can't believe that it's not really that long now until our babies leave home. the time really seems to be passing by incredibly quickly now and already, quite a few of our kitten families have made arrangements for the days they will be collecting their new family members. It's going to be so funny not seeing our Ray J's running around the home once they leave because all 3 have such very different colouring and I get such pleasure from watching them play as they really are 3 incredibly pretty babies.
