Day 83 - November 16, 2007
This afternoon, the Man in the White Coat the Rosette Queen, and Photographer Extraordinare (sp?) came to visit Barry, as did Sharon, Stef, Birnie, and Kerry although they were here to see Sharon's baby, Rafael. The poor "Blue Paws" must have felt neglected as they were in the main kitten room with their Barry while I was in the other kitten room with the "other" humans. Goodness only knows what was going on in Barry's room, but then I know full well the older babies were in excellent hands as the Blue Paws are our extended family. Barry was very good while I stretched her out to show her pattern to the Rosette Queen, so I guess she is already preparing herself for her future show career. As always, our visit with Caryll, Ray and Jacqui was far too short, but I have a feeling they will come back again ;) I sometimes look at Barry and wonder if she knows how truly lucky she really is to be going to such a special home.

Day 82 - November 15, 2007
The Ray J's were very good today and I think that's because of the cold weather and they have not destroyed a single thing all day long. Barry has now decided that she no longer likes the hoover so whilst everyone else was sleeping (as per the photos below) while I was doing the hoovering, Barry went into the bathroom with Amaro and she sat inbetween the toilet and hand basin and there was no way she was coming out until I had finished the hoovering. I can't say I blame her because we bought a 2nd hoover very recently to keep upstairs as opposed to bring the Dyson upstairs every morning and whilst the new hoover is great, it's much noisier than the Dyson and Barry does not like it at all.

Day 81 - November 14, 2007
Our Ray J's were downstairs both last night and today playing on the scratch post and playing chase and it is great to see them downstairs totally oblivious to all of our older cats. They still haven't ventured out at all into the cat run yet but it is so darn cold at the moment that even our adult cats are not going out there at all, apart from our Bengals who don't mind when it's cold out. Barry wasn't sure what to make of Izarra this morning when Izarra wanted to play chase with her. I could see her looking at Izarra and I'm sure she was wondering what she was because obviously she is so very different from "our" breeds but when she saw Gary playing with Izarra, she figured that she must also be part of the gang.

Day 80 - November 13, 2007
All 3 kitten diaries for today are "photo only" diaries sorry as one of our ladies went into labour this morning. As such, it's been a tremendously hectic day so far.

Day 79 - November 12, 2007
As you can tell by the photos, I took lots more of Barry than I did our other 2 Ray J's. The reason for that is quite simple :) Jonesy was sound asleep on the chair with some of the other babies and it was a real struggle to get him to lift his head long enough to have his photo taken. He was far more interested in snoozing than posing for the camera. The one and only photo of Ray was taken only after I managed to get both Antony and Heston off Ray's head! They were all sleeping in the top of the scratch post and Ray's head was nowhere to be seen because Heston and Antony were on top of him. What was funny was that after I took that photo, Ray then tried to shove her head back underneath the other babies so perhaps they were keeping her ears warm :) Barry has always been a "poser" and every time I get the camera out, she sits up and looks quite pretty. Today was no exception.

Day 78 - November 11, 2007

Apologies for skipping 2 kitten diary entries however it's been very manic and the last few days have not gone as planned for one reason or another and today is the first time I've had the chance to sit down and get an entry online. We are also currently waiting for one of our ladies to go into labour and she was showing possible signs yesterday morning, however we are still waiting.

Our Ray J's seem to be growing at a rapid rate however they are not great big chunky babies, all 3 of them have their father's elegance and style and I'm just delighted with our Ray J's. They are very happy and mischievous babies and incredibly active. There are times when I am watching them play and wonder where on earth they get their energy from. Their "Aunty Sharon" brought them so little toy mice which have been a huge hit with the Ray J's and they do not want to share them at all with the other babies.
