Day 76 - October 19, 2004
I really don't know what on earth Cuddlepie has been doing with her food, however you may notice in the photos below that some of her meal is stuck to the top of her head!!! Goodness only knows how she got it there. The fun part will be trying to get it out! I haven't seen a great deal of the little ones today but I have certainly heard them. They have been tearing around the upstairs hallway and playing games in the bathroom with Sambuca and Drambuie and creating as much noise and havoc as humanly possible. But so long as they are having lots of fun then that is perfectly alright. We've now gone 2 whole days without a single baby swinging from the table and I'm rather pleased about that. They do still wrestle on the table though and try to catch the fish.

Day 75 - October 18, 2004
There's still no photos sorry but at least I now have the entries back up to date and hopefully I'll make the time tomorrow to take some pics of my little sweethearts. I learnt today that Cuddlepie is not the innocent, shy girl that she pretends to be ! Up until now, I thought it was Snugglepot and Banksia who were the instigators of all the trouble that goes on however, I turned around today to see poor Snugglepot lying on one of the food tubs, with Cuddlepie on top of him, pinning him down and she had his entire ear in her mouth!!! I'm hoping tomorrow that things will settle down again because today I had a vet appointment this morning and was there over an hour, I had a couple come and visit me to meet Ice and see where he lives as they are bringing one of their queen's for mating next month and wanted to meet the "boyfriend" first and that was really lovely. The Gumnut's enjoyed it too as they had loads of cuddles from them. Then we were out again this afternoon for another appointment and I'm really feeling rather tired now. I will be pleased when tomorrow arrives and everything is back to normal with no interruptions.

Day 74 - October 17, 2004
Unfortunately, this has been an extremely hectic day due to yesterday and the entire day has been spent washing and ironing, as well as spring cleaning the loungeroom and moving the furniture around. For this reason the poor little Gumnut's haven't had a tremendous amount of attention. Not that they actually need my attention much any more as they spend most of the time either in the loungeroom with the older cats, or are chasing them up and down the stairs. They are all doing very though and I am lucky enough to have the most wonderful cuddles with them on such a regular basis. You truly can't walk past any of these babies without stopping to pick them up for hugs and purrs.

Day 73 - October 16, 2004
I'm afraid I can't tell you anything at all about today as I haven't been here. I was at a cat show today showing my Oriental Black baby (and she was awarded her 1st CC) and this meant that I left the house at 7am and didn't return until 6pm. Hubby was here up until lunch time with the babies and I understand that they did behave and were very good for him.

Day 72 - October 15, 2004
Our little ones had a change of routine last night which they really seemed to enjoy. Up until last night, the babies would normally be shut off in the back room for the night however the time has come now for them to have full house access of an evening as well. They absolutely loved it. When we went upstairs to bed, we left the bedroom door open and were visited by our adult cats, as well as the little Gumnuts who hadn't been in our bedroom before (other than when they were first born) and they made the most of it by jumping on and off the bed, exploring under the bed, getting in the clothes shelves, everything our adult cats do actually. Then much later in the night when I was going to the bathroom, I opened the bedroom door to be greeted by all 3 Gumnuts, please all the adult cats who were sitting/playing outside our door. Of course the only problem with that is that when you aren't fully awake, they totally scare you because you weren't expecting them to be there, or you accidentally trip over them and end up waking the whole house!

Day 71 - October 14, 2004
I'm really lacking in motivation for the diary entry, or anything else at the moment as I have a cold coming on and just don't have the energy to do very much at all. At least my Gumnuts have more than enough energy to make up for it. We left a box or two out from yesterday so that they could continue to play with them if they so desired. A lot of their morning has been spent chasing each other and Sambuca throughout the house, up and down the stairs, in the bathroom, out in the back room. I wasn't surprised at all when they settled down to sleep for quite a few hours because they really were extremely active this morning.

Day 70 - October 13, 2004 (10 weeks old today!)
I can't believe our little Gumnuts are now 10 weeks old, nor can I believe that I haven't even filled in their registration form yet!!! That will definitely be added to today's "To Do" list. Our babies are not impressed at all with the rain we've been having. Poor Banksia Man took 2 steps outside in the cat run, realised his paws were wet and came tearing straight back inside. Ironically, it doesn't bother our older cats at all who will still go into the cat run and aren't scared of wet paws. Hubby and I worked out today that it really is a waste of time buying toys for the little ones when they definitely do prefer cardboard boxes. We happened to have a few deliveries to the house yesterday which meant boxes everywhere and sure enough the babies spent hours and hours playing inside the boxes, tipping them over, chewing them, climbing inside and then jumping out to scare each other. Even Sambuca and Amaretto joined in. Very typically, once the fun and games were all over, the Gumnuts went to sleep in one of the boxes.
